I think there’s potential but, folks….JS isn’t drafting a QB unless it’s crazy late.

I absolutely think he feels like we have nailed down our QB in Darnold.

I’m not claiming he’s right or wrong….ofc, I hope Darnold rips it up.

I don’t even think JS would take Dart if he slipped to the third round…

Like others have said, it's just the wrong time. The Hawks went out and picked up the best young QB of the year...and then draft a QB in the 1st...all while having Howell on the bench?? Probably not.

There's always a run in the 1st for QBs. With big time reaches at that. If Christian Ponder can go in the 1st, the possibilities are endless

Dart is my alum and I love Rebels, it's a southern thing, land of cotton, ya know?

I am hoping he won't come, no fun competing against three Schneider QBs, that won't be easy. I want Dart to join a team that will build a system around his strength, I don't want him to become a DartNO.

team that drafts him if he fails.
To me it's up to the QB to show "he has it or he don't" and to do the
things necessary to improve yourself for the next level.
You are supposed to be a pro; It's not high school or college anymore.

The key word is TEAM. QB cannot be an offensive line. He cannot be a receiving crew. He has to learn to live with what he has, but if what he has cannot do its job neither can he.

Absolutely. So many QB's went WAY higher than the "experts" claimed they would.

I remember all the talk last year about how we would need to get Spencer Rattler in the second round if we wanted him because "QBs go early". He went in the fifth. Will Levis was supposed to be a top 10 lock. We were expected to see Desmond Ridder, Malik Willis, Matt Corrall, Hendon Hooker, Sam Howell, Davis Webb, Deshone Kizer, etc. go much earlier.

Teams aren't really reaching for the second tier of QBs anymore. The big exception being Daniel Jones, and we saw how well that worked out.

I like Dart. Milroe also. They are both gone by end of second if not sooner.

I really like Dart, knowing that in a bad situation he could be a failure, just like Mr. All World for the Bears last year. There is a possibility the same thing could happen to Ward at Tenn this year.

So, all QBs drafted that suck were actually good but it's the team's fault
that they performed bad.
I've been wrong about all the QBs I called out and now I feel bad.

We are doing this the right way. I watched Jax in high school and I root for local kids, but no at number 18.

My take..

We have a decent to above average QB on a deal we can move on from soon.

We build the D and implement Mac and Kubiak’s system. We draft the trenches and skill positions followed by spending money on second contracts for our core stars.

Then, when the system and core are in place is when we make our move to draft a QB. Bringing in a young QB on a rookie contract who has the tools around him to succeed seems to be the formula for success.

However….

I could see us drafting a QB this year in the second to third if someone slips. Have him sit while Mac sets his pieces on the board and give him time to develop. I agree this is a poopy year for “top” QB’s, but it’s a draft full of solid second tier kids that could blossom in the right system. (Howard, Ewers, Shough. Milroe).

Dart is either gonna go 7th, 9th, 18th (only if Seattle trades back to a team like Browns or Giants), or 21st.

The only QB I would get excited about in this draft is Milroe because we could mix him in here and there and really give defenses something to think about. You could do this for a couple years while slowly developing him at the QB position.

on pure talent? no, hell no. He's a coaching nightmare though and that's too bad. I feel like he's pro ready.

Drafted in the first round, ahead of Sanders. Giants totally disrespected Russell Wilson by investing a first rounder on a QB.
