LOL Poor Cooper Kupp. He's gone from one hideous clown costume to another. I hope we trade our power ranger costumes and broken horn helmet next. Cooper has to wear your toxic green meltdown jerseys now.
Gonna be fun watching kupp put up green highlights all over the rams

Tempering my expectations due to health and the concern that he doesn't have much left in the tank, but there's a lot of upside here. Kupp is a fantastic run blocker as well, so having him out there in 21/12 personnel packages will be a plus for our outside zone game.

The raw numbers are concerning, but I'm sure there's some stuff in there to protect the team. Fun signing with the possibility to really elevate the offense.

DK was getting $24M from us and just got extended in Pissburgh for $33M. Kupp is the same net value. This is...a good move. Expensive? Yes. But we needed wide receivers as much as we needed offensive linemen. One doesn't eliminate the other. We had NOBODY to draw coverage off of JSN. Valdes-Scantling is getting way overrated on this board.

Pretty obvious that John and Mike feel comfortable with our current offensive linemen. The offense was a disaster last year in both coaching and scheming; it's possible they'll be in a much better position this year. I really just don't think the free agency class was that good for this position.

A couple things to consider

1) Kupp did not look “washed” last year. He played a lot less games than DK and wasn’t far behind him on yards and even had more TD’s. His injuries have been ankle sprain injuries. Not knees or hamstrings, etc. stuff that once they go you don’t get back. The value as the leader and mentor is what makes this worth it. We aren’t hurt for cap at all. The O line free agents were garbage except Dalman and he wanted Chicago.

2) we don’t know Kipp’s hit but let’s assume the high end. Kupp + MVS + 13 million + pick #52 or DK?

3) DK wanted out. He wasn’t wanting to come back. Kupp WANTS to be here. Now JSN gets to learn from one of the best on and off the field. He had Tyler, now he has Kupp.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
For real.

It’s like having herpes and you’re like ‘F U HERPES’ and then you find out if you have herpes, you’re immune to Bird Flu.

It’s still FU herpes but, glad you’re here.

My analogies need work.
Dawg, you're on the nastiest of rolls since this Kupp signing 😂

How's that? Now Kupp gets at least 2 revenge games per season. Hawks were/are the biggest threat to the Rams in the division. I don't understand the reasoning for the cowboys being mentioned unless you meant worst case scenario for Kupp.
For me! As a fan. I hate both of those teams and I like Kupp.

The bottom line is that we are instantly substantially better with Kupp than we were without him. I have to imagine a lot of his wear and tear comes from his participation in the run blocking game. Split him out wide and keep JSN in the slot. If you can get open, you can get open...it doesn't really matter where you line up.

Imagine trying to cover 2 guys who are masters at getting open in space while battling the play action and having to guard against the possibility that K9 is going to get the ball and just house it. I can forsee an offense that just eats up yards with 5-6 yard plays via run and pass that has the possibility to just break one out of the blue.

Chew the clock and let our D feast on the opponent when we get the lead. Looking at our D we should be a terror to try and run the ball against and our coverage is nothing to sneeze at. This is so much better than I could have imagined at the end of last season that I don't even know what to say.

Plus we have 5 guys to add in the top 92 and tons of cap space moving forward. As long as Darnold doesn't shit the bed and our O-line shows some expected growth due to their youth and the change in scheme we have a bright future to look forward to.

At this point I am not even sure that MVS is going to make the squad depending on the WR that they draft. These FA signings have opened up so many possibilities to legitimately draft the BPA in the draft and just flat out upgrade at positions.

Still think that the #1 priority is an O lineman but it all depends on who is there when we pick.

Meanwhile the OL is basically in a state where they need an anchor on the inside to guide and teach the young players to play. Hawks have a lot of young players with C and B level potential but you need an (A)lpha level player to be the anchor and to help guide them. Hard to find in the draft especially since drafting one in the first round has opportunity costs.
I'm pretty sure that's why we have a new OL coach with 30 years experience in the NFL; to guide and teach the players to play...

Ill take DLaw and Kupp for 6 years, 87m over 5 years of what has Will Fries accomplished to earn $88m w/o medicals.

The two that are now Seahawks removed from their skillsets bring in so much experience and leadership that both players and coaching can take advantage of.

Will Fries might be good, might be great, hard to dissect on his short sample of having started 31 out of 41 games in 4 seasons (68 games) with really one good injury shortened season of 5 games. Doesn’t really ooze grizzled, highly experienced vet that has the ability to be a mentor and leader inside not only the position room but in the lockerroom and on the field of play. If anything Fries now has a giant target on his back opening himself to be scrutinized if he doesn’t perform consistently at above quality to elite level with opposing players wanting to show up a guy that had very little accomplishment but still got one of the biggest bags and a rare long-term deals coming off a broken leg sans a medical check-in.
