TD/INT ratio is a prohibitively noisy statistic to use as an indicator of QB caliber and you do it routinely anyway, so I don't really see how you can ignore the others (the ones that happen to hurt your arguments, coincidentally.)

You then dismiss essentially everything else, especially advanced stats relating to accuracy, as being silly stats that only Twitter wonks care about, which is similarly obtuse.

I don't even see how this is especially relevant. The fact remains that, yes, if Darnold's rudimentary box score stat production drops, I'm not going to instantly blame him like most everyone did Geno. I'll blame the shit-ass job this FO has done at supporting the QB for years running, because NO ONE is winning a Super Bowl with anything resembling the supporting cast of the last few years.

And I can already hear the pitchforks if Darnold puts up like 22 TDs and 17 INTs about how he's a flash-in-the-pan overpaid goof and how we need to draft some goof named some shit like Hendryx McLaneKiffinQB in the first round next year or else we'll always be in "purgatory."

I'll defend Darnold against that crap just like I did Geno if the film backs it up. We're going nowhere unless we fix the issues surrounding the QB. We can bitch a little bit more about them after that, in my opinion.
You’re just making stuff up. I’ve never discounted Geno’s accuracy in fact I’ve said repeatedly he’s one of the most accurate QBs in the league. Jesus dude.

Now why would he want to agree to the deal before having a physical? Oh wait....
Probably because Minnesota had a really, really good offer on the table for him. It's not like he isn't going to take a physical with them now. If it doesn't go well, I'm sure we'll be hearing about it.

Dude couldn't wait ONE day? Sounds like the Hawks may have avoided a land mine here.
I'm not trying to make excuses for JS, he flat out needs to get off his ass and add some solid O Lineman.

However, this feels like a real red flag, imo.
This is what I was saying yesterday. The lack of a physical made this deal smell toxic as all get out. This news just solidifies that for me.

That 18th overall pick is becoming more and more important for Seattle.

It’ll either be “Finally! We got someone!”

Or

Schneider, wants to continue to develop the current offensive lineman roster Seattle has.

I’m expecting the latter, honestly!

The 18th overall pick will be Tyler Warren!

That’s my guess and I’m sticking to it!

OK. But I'm guessing Minny wouldn't have yanked their offer if he waited a day if they really wanted him that bad.

I think it'll be defense. OL options will still be very good in round 2 and 3, no need to reach if it's not there and it may not be.

Warren could very well be the guy but I doubt he drops anywhere close to us, I'd bet a top 10 pick. Seems like a move the Raiders would make LOL

Good. Considering they were on the piece of the team that ranked close to the bottom of the league so it's not a huge loss. As matter of fact, I hope most of them go. That way the new OC and OL coaches can add their guys.
