Why do the Vikings always have to be such douche bags to us when it comes to guards? Hutch "poison pill" anyone?

I'll def. be keeping tabs on how much he plays, just out of curiosity. Not saying I want him to get hurt, but sometimes you dodge a bullet. We shall see. At least JS tried. We needed to see an effort.

Just stating a fact. Not that Geno lovers are interested in facts.
Not a Geno lover just not a hater. I was stating facts. You're cherry picking stats in a questionable manner to try and prove your point. It's too early to tell yet if 2024 was an outlier for Darnold or not. We'll have a much better idea after next season whether Darnold is better/same/worse than Geno.

A potential buyer will want a flexible team future not one locked into long term contracts so it does make sense.
Wouldn't that depend on the caliber of the player in question? As a prospective buyer, you may not want to see Drew Lock in a long term deal but you probably do want Josh Allen locked into a longer deal.

Geno worshipers cherry pick stats on the regular. He's gone. Time to move on. Dueces, Geno.

Back on Topic. Come on Hawks, grab Zeitler.

No doubt. Hoping they add Zeitler. Solid player and wouldn't cost much. Someone had mentioned his last contract was 1 year, 6 mil.

The fact that we can't go one thread without this stupid QB culture war rearing its head is proof of what I'm saying.

It's all about the quarterback and how you can support the quarterback.

QB is the one position that if filled with a known quality player would raise the value.

710 said they were def. in the mix. Dude probably just wanted to play where dude wanted to play. Let's be real, he went to a better team.
No way. The Vikings are not a better team than Seattle. We shouldn’t have lost to them last year. Now they have an unknown qb. Even if Minnesota was undefeated I’d still be like….. menh….

I'll say this, if all they did was keep Olu at C and moved Sundell to LG, I'd still be pretty optimistic. But obviously, they should still address the OL in both FA & the draft.

You’re seriously using total yards as a key stat for QB success? Did you know these two stats you list are two of the lowest correlated for success for a QB? How many yards did Sam Howell throw for in Washington? Any guesses? Right at 4,000 yards so yeah you got me there I guess.
With a comp rate of 63% to Geno's 70%. You gonna stay consistent mentioning that or drop it when it's inconvenient to your argument? And a YPA of 6.3 compared to Geno's 7.5.

And no, comp rate is not irrelevant because a couple of guys on Twitter say so. ;)

You're scapegoating. That's all there is to it.

Getting back to Fries, if Schneider too was offering him $17M/yr as the new report indicates, I don't think anyone gets to say he doesn't recognize the condition of the line. Schneider misses out on a lot of good pickups because other teams are stupid and overpaying. Minnesota definitely overpaid by adding two more years to that contract. It's the exact kind of contract you'd have to be offloading in...guess what...three years because the team is struggling to find new free agents.

Completion % is the second most overrated stat for QB success. Youve been maybe the only voice as of late calling Geno elite. What’s more likely you’re on an island and right or the other 99% is right to varying degrees? I’m excited we got 8 years younger for a guy who at worst is very similar to Geno for a lot cheaper. You can be mad about as it’s your right as a fan. I’m choosing to be exciting about it.

With Fries there has been 1 5 year deal this year and he’s coming off a major leg injury. I think Seattle offered a good deal. I’m frustrated in the line play too but they have a ton of draft capitol to address is and I’ll hold out hope they do.

The one position?? So you're saying the same can't be said for Justin Jefferson or Ja'Marr Chase??
