It absolutely does matter what year. Are you suggesting players are incapable of growth? We all know it was an issue. DK apparently recognized that and reigned it in this past season. He should be lauded for that, rather than repeatedly criticized for things from years ago that he addressed and showed tangible improvement.
Did he show growth though? Well after Grubb was hired, a reporter asked him if he had studied any UW film to learn what the Grubb offense was like. He flippantly dismissed the question as if he didn't need to. If someone was super dedicated to their craft, it doesn't take much time to watch a little film and learn how he could be a fit in that offense.

ADB on the other hand, also an emotional player, lacks DK's physicality but you can bet 100% that ADB would study the film.

Yes, let's laud the tangible 2024 season improvement in his ability to control his emotions...

I would love to make the deal for a 1 behind us. The possibility of picking up a DE and Nic in the first would be amazing

C'mon, you seriously can't see that opposing teams caught on to the fact that you could get DK upset and under his skin? Yes, he did better this year, credit to him on that. But lets not deny what has been obvious to everyone.
Doesn't make him a team cancer or anything like that but I for one never liked him embracing the baby act.
I put DK in the same category as OBJ who was easy to get riled up, Josh Norman when he was playing for Carolina brought a baseball bat during pre game warm ups and OBJ was going crazy

Glad DK is wanting out. Hawks aren't going to pay him what he thinks he's worth. He's a physical talent and you can't deny some of the amazing plays he's made over the years, but the dude has been such a distraction on the field and has made more than enough boneheaded plays for me not to shed a tear for his departure. Good luck to DK where ever he goes. He seems like a good guy, but too much of a diva for this fans palette.

Must have been tough to filter through all the one penalties he had like that this year and decide on just one to post.
How many did the rest of our WRS have? how many since DK has been starting? Did he cut it down last year? Yes, I give him credit for that. One can argue over how much it matters but I for one don't really care for people who A, act like a baby and B, embrace it. Just my personal like dislike.

Was Grubb brought in to run specifically his UW offense? I didn't hear anything about DK skipping meetings and practices during the six months before the season started where Grubb was actually installing his NFL offense. What do you think he would have learned from watching college tape that he couldn't have easily picked up otherwise?

By Schneider publicly stating that he's looking to get a 1st and a 3rd for DK, imo he's setting the stage that DK plays out the last year of his contract as a Seahawk.

Imo, DK's not worth a 1st and a 3rd... he just isn't.
Asking price? It also makes keeping or forcing DK to honor the current contract.
