“Another other?” So you say he’s a good dude…have you met him? He’s extremely demanding and disruptive. He wants the ball on every play, and pouts when it doesn’t happen. His aggressiveness is appreciated but caused by frustration in not getting enough targets, and hasn’t changed for six years. Not only ownership and coaches are tired of him, it now also includes his teammates. That’s the real story…take off your rose colored glasses.
ANY other. I type too fast sometimes 🤣 And go ahead and make up more stuff about DK that doesn't exist. It's hilarious.
Show me proof that he wants the ball every play. You can't. Show me proof his teammates don't like him. You can't. Take off your DK is to blame for everything glasses. He has never been that guy. Keep crying though. I'll keep laughing.

“To blame for everything”…pointless.

I would be happy with a 2026 first if it helps overall capital compensation. Its a lottery but might get us into the early teens and for sure gives us some firepower to look for a QB next year.

Run with Howell for this year and use the Geno cash to sign OL and give them a year to bed in.

Cincy would have been a great trade partner as they told Trey Hendrickson to shop around for a trade. However, they are not in need of a WR as they have Chase and Higgins on the roster. Hendrickson led the NFL in sacks last season.

If it means anything to anybody the odds are
Seahawks +300
Chargers +300

Are the favorites to keep/acquire DK
I saw that too. I think Vegas knows that we won't get offered anything that stellar, so DK may end up finishing out his contract here.

On NFL radio yesterday, they were laughing at the idea that anyone would trade a first round pick for DK.

I really don't think the return is going to be worth it. A trade request usually kills your leverage unless you're an overrated loudmouth who plays a non-premium position and couldn't cover my grandmother. Teams will definitely try to lowball us, and given that he has just one year left on his current deal and any acquiring team will have to factor in his next contract, I don't see a substantial bidding war.

I hope we keep him. If we don't, I hope he goes to a team that will actually use him to his fullest, and have a fan base that deserves him, because this one sure as hell doesn't.
This is about as accurate as anything I’ve ever seen. Especially the last part.

They are likely going to have to part with Higgins as he was ticked off to be franchise tagged. So DK to Cinci is on the table but I doubt we'd get either straight up for DK. Frankly, I hope DK goes to a really crappy team like the Browns with a sub-par QB and a poor front office.

I think Buffalo would be the perfect trade partner. They have a bottom of the first round pick which I think (or at least hope) we can get for him. That team is always on the doorstep, so they certainly fit the "contender" category. Plus it gets him out of the NFC. KC would also be an ideal trade partner for those very reasons. The Chargers would be great too, but I'm not sure they'd be willing to give up the 22nd overall pick.

I just don't agree with the narrative that DK isn't used to his fullest. He ranked 75th in the league last year for contested catch rate, doesn't seem like he is especially hard to tackle and doesn't have great elusiveness to force missed tackles. He is great when he can catch the ball and just turn on the afterburners but is that really worth $30+ million a year. It is exciting and I have loved watching it when it happens but to say our fan base doesn't deserve him seems a bit harsh. I want the Hawks to win as much as anyone and am just not sure that giving him big $$ is the best way to achieve that. Hopefully there are some teams out there that think they can utilize him better and we can get a decent return.

"DK Metcalf has a vast trade market and the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers pushed to the front of the line with bids to acquire the wide receiver from the Seattle Seahawks, NFL Network reported Friday."

It would be hilarious if he ends up in Carolina.

(sorry, unable to link the article I got this from)

Why constantly stick up for a player asking to be traded?

Who cares if people get on his ass for being a douche sometimes. And yes....he was a DOUCHE sometimes. Lots of times.
That is what fans do. We dissect what the players on their team do. We only have 17 games a year (hopefully + playoffs) to do so.

His anger issues were enough of an issue to not only be recognized by the national sports media, but exploited by opposing coaches as part of their game plan.

I am a fan of the team. Players come and go.
You don't want to be here....be gone.

Fingers crossed will get the most value possible, and hopefully that helps us in the long term.

He's only 27 and I wish he wanted to stay. He's a real weapon and one of my favorite players...but if you want out...then peace out.

For me, the worst case scenerio would be to let him play out the contract in Seattle as a malcontent.
