I love how we leave out Hurts massive rushing numbers too. He has double digit touchdowns and 600-800 yards rushing as well every year.
I've been told anyone could do those things so they don't count.

Geno is CAPABLE of running; he just seems to refuse to do so when a first down is right there for the taking. But he's really good at forcing passes when he shouldn't. He's really good at passing up wide open guys.

Regardless we are rolling with Geno. Hopefully our running game is fixed this year. I wouldn't mind tapping into the strong rb class this year considering Walkers propensity to get injured.

Is Geno clutch? Plain and simple question. That matters a LOT.

Is clutch the most 4th quarter/OT comeback wins of ALL QB's in 2023?

For someone that hasn't played very much that's a lot of comeback wins/game winning drives.

Geno is 97th all time, tied with Josh Allen. Ahead of Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, etc. Geno has been in the league longer but amount of games matters. I can go do the same with game winning drives but I'm seeing a pattern of being one of the more clutch Qb's in the league. The teams in which he has those comebacks may not be stellar but that wasn't argument.

From my perspective, Smith, has not been as clutch as I’d like him to be.

That’s not to say, it’s all Geno’s fault.

Geno, has had some inadequate pieces around him that has affected his ability to be “clutch.”

Some at coaching, play call/designs, teammates running terrible routes, offensive line implosion, etc.

While it’s not all Geno’s fault, I can see, Seattle also knowing this, will extend Geno, possibly 2-3 years, while it “attempts” to fix the “coaching” problem and the player problems and swing with for the fences with Geno and this strategy for the next 2 years.

How much is the going rate for QBs with the accolades of Geno going for right now?

$30-$40M guaranteed for 2 years or so??

I just hope Seattle keeps it manageable (which I believe they will do) and dump Geno after 2 years, is my guess….

Coming off a season where he was a turnover machine, kind of hard to see how a big $ deal is in the cards for him.

3 years at about 35 per, with outs after 2025 and 2026? Seems fair. And drafting a QB.

Geno is also good at throwing to DK when it’s time to make a crucial catch, but during these crucial times, DK is also good at running bad routes and it leads to interceptions by Geno (i.e. this latest Vikings game) 😂

Aaaah, the blame DK thing........that's always a great go to for the Geno apologists. And that's fine. It be what it be.

We need to BIG TIME fix the offensive line and commit to the run whether Geno, a rookie or whoever is our QB.
Pieces of the puzzle.

Geno did that in 17 games, often glossed over. And what did it get them? Watching on TV.
Those 3 picks (including a pick 6) against the Rams sure contributed..........

Yeah at this point I would be surprised if he's not back so all I can do is hope the line is much improved, Kubiak gets the offense going and Geno has a good year. It's all entirely possible and I'll be rooting for it.

If you don't mind, I have a word of advice: Statistics, expert opinions, etc. mean NOTHING to geNOs. Sorry, I am wrong; those are frowned upon by the geNOs when it comes to Geno Smith.

Now I could say the same about you guys. You guys cherry pick a couple of stats and ignore the obvious ones like touchdowns, Interceptions, QBR, playoff appearances etc. I'd argue its YOU GUYS who ignore stats.

me? I am firmly on the trade or release Geno now crowd. I would leave the stat war to you and your adversaries.
