Offensive line this, offensive line that...

Literally they could take OL with all their draft picks and it doesn't mean they'd be good at it.
This statement is a little inflated but, having one of the lowest paid lines in the league isn’t necessarily helping either.

It might be inflating, but it feels like their success/failure rates on OL are 40/60 respectively.

But thats exactly what they did, took the ball and punched us right innyhe mouth. GB showed exactly how a good oline and running game opens everything up

0-3 in primetime. 1-4 vs playoff teams.
Yes, but we also hung with teams like Detroit for awhile. We also beat some decent teams that are in contention for the playoffs. This team isn't as bad as most people think it is. Definitely an inconsistent team that is still trying to find its way. That being said, this defense is legit -- sometimes they may drop the ball but other times they've done well against powerful offenses. It's starting to come together and regardless of what happens this year, we're far ahead of where were in Pete Carroll's last seasons.

15th in total and 14th in points on defense is a huge win over tailing near the bottom for the last few years. This is all despite the terrible stretch before we got Ernest Jones and switched to Knight. Seattle is also getting back Nowsu, another key piece. I reckon if we can build on earlier successes that we had prior to Greenbay, this team is at the very least going to be fun as hell to watch in the last few weeks.

Whether we make the playoffs or not, there is a lot of good indicators for the future. I'm just enjoying the ride. I also think this team can potentially surprise someone in the wildcard round.

That was a big disappointment on Sunday night. I thought we knew, or MM knew, that slowing down their running attack was the first order of business. Then our OLine just stunk up the joint. But even more than any of that, there was just some lack of energy and import for such a big game. At the very least, I thought our hits would be hurting.

Meh, I blame our draft failings and roster misses on carroll more than JS for the simple fact, soon as carroll was gone, we started drafting players to address needs. Not skill players we didnt need. I'm for giving him one more off season to prove himself.
JS has had a decade to fix the OLine.

Wasn't carroll over him as president of operations?

And again, if he's was the driving force going after skill players year after year and neglecting our lines, why now that Pete is gone, they focused mainly on lineman and linebacker?

Not saying you guys are wrong, just saying that doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't add up.

IMHO - it's just 'all' kinda broken.

But I stand by my JS needs to go statement. Also Grubb. Needs to go back to college/high school.

Yup, sure am a bit butt hurt from the Packers game. And we're about to get ******* curb-stomped by the Vikes. I might not even watch the game.

Agreed. I think we’re going to be really good as early as next year

Our inconsistancy is a product of making progress. This is what getting better looks like. One step back for two steps forward. I fear we may take two steps back (and lose 3 out of our last 4) this series but that's the way it goes. We have definitely improved overall during this season. Why? We have had back to back successful drafts and gained a stellar HC.
All I know for sure is I don't want to hear any of that BPA BS during the draft. I want to see BPAPN (BestPlayerAvailable@PositionofNeed) happen.
I don't expect to see a lot of movement during FA period as we are not in cap position to do much of anything.

Remember folks, GROWING PAINS!

LeFleur wasn't always a good coach. It took him several years to get to where he is... and remember the Aaron Rodgers B.S he had to deal with?

All I'm saying is take a deep breath. No way in hell this team was meant to make it to the big show. Temper your expectations. For crying out loud, there is no need for the high blood pressure, stroke inducing vitriol. FIRST YEAR, NEW COACH, ROOKIE COACH, ROOKIE OC & DC, PIECES AREN'T ALL HERE!

I disagree, that's how you get LJ Collier in the first round.

I think they need to keep focusing on BPA; they've been doing really well with that method for the past 3 drafts and changing course could lead to disaster all because they reached for a position of need that wasn't a great return at where they picked. I think they need to do like they did this year, try to get one player of each position of need in free agency and let the cards fall where they may with the draft. If they (JS and PC, JS still remaining on the team as an actual GM now) try to get cute and reach for a position of need, they wouldn't have learned their lesson which they adamantly said they have.

LeFleur's first three years: 13-3, 13-3, 13-3.

Where can we get some of those "growing pains"?

LeFleur also had one of the greatest passers of the modern era under center in his prime. If we had a prime Aaron Rodgers under center, I'm sure we would've won a few more games -- even with this line.

Yeah, probably. I'm not seeing where LeFleur wasn't a good coach early on though. There didn't seem to be many growing pains while he was setting the NFL record for most wins over a coach's first three seasons.
