Its not like we have a running game anyway
I think there was some positive steps taken in the running game against the Jets. We've finally seemed to find a run concept that works on a fairly regular basis... and it worked for both Walker and Charbs (we used that concept on Charbs TD run), so I think we can still be in business without Walker tomorrow.

Now, there was some interesting stuff they did running the play with both Walker and Charbonnet on the field together, but they can probably still use McIntosh and/or Holani when they want to run it as a dual RB concept (in fact, that might even work better since defense might not expect those guys to get the ball).

Charb might have to sacrifice his body a little bit by punishing the defense in the first half. that way, either he or McIntosh can cash in some in the 4th q.

Honestly - I'm getting to the point where I've seen enough of our current RB situation.
ridiculous. switching out running backs would net the same results. You can't run when you can't run block. Walker is a top 5 back in the league behind an even mediocre line. the O line is the number one priority in the offseason.

Charbonnet does not impress in any way with the eyes. You give him the benefit of the doubt because of the high round pick, but he is slow to the hole, doesn’t really have any moves, and maybe once in a while will be powerful enough to move someone. There are a lot of hopeful eyes here, maybe wishing he was what you want him to be. His YPC unfortunately supports this and all metrics suggest that, even though 12s rate him high due to their desire for him to be good, he is below average at best and not fast/quick/powerful enough to be an effective runner.

It’s going to be sad if we see Holani more than McIntosh.
Holani has juice, but I think McIntosh has more variety to his game. I wouldn't mind seeing both. But Charbs is the guy who can make this work if the line will just help a little bit. Where is Derrick Henry when we need him?

Charbs did just fine against the Dolphins when the Oline was playing worse
funny how people seem forget that... and he can block and hes not as bad as everyone... especially the newbie member are making him out to be...

what I do find odd and weird is the constant shit pile .net seems to want to force on him. its gotta be tiring to try and force and convince people to hate someone who's doing what they can lol Charbs isnt that far behind walker in the stats for 2024

They're Pretty... Phucking similar players the differences are minor.
I know a lot of your want to go BUT BUT BUT... sorry this isnt phucking fantasy football, your fantasy points can phuck right off.

Nearly identical and Walker Has the benefit of some long plays too. Tells me he has a lot of negative plays in the mix. I think Charbs surprises some people tomorrow

Mannnn….his availability is subpar to say the least.

I’m sure no one wants to hear this but, Walker isn’t a cowbell back.

We were blessed with Carson and Marshawn….

I wouldn’t be against going for a guy like Skattebo from Arizona State….doubt we’d be able to grab a guy like Jeanty.
What’s the chances of us getting Ashton Jeanty.. prolly slim plus we really need lineman on offense, at least a guard

Crazy similar besides touchdowns, Charbs has a bit more per carry, and when walker was hurt Charbs looked even better with more of the load

I think a RB pick in the first three rounds would be a waste. We need more help elsewhere. Besides, it's hard to tell how good our guys are with this OL performance this year.

Barring injury (!) I think we're pretty well set at RB. Our early draft needs to be devoted to LOS.

Carson missed a ton of games too.

His were more the broken bone variety though, i think?

Walker - its always soft tissue stuff. Oblique. Groin. Calf.

Broken bones happen and arent in the realm of chronic issues.

Constantly having muscle tears, strains, etc
.. that's the sign of a body being overworked or undertrained for the stress its seeing, or both. Given Walker's running style, i dont see it ever NOT being an issue. And if thats the case, we need a real No 1 we can rely on.

I dont see the 'slow to the hole' trait. I see him getting a few carries on delays which are designed to let the hole open up as the fake takes place, but i think he is much more willing to hit the crease and squeeze through than Walker is.

I think Walker bounces the runs outside that Charbs punches through for a handful of yards. In that way, Walker looks a lot more electric, and he is a more gifted runner overall, but sometimes you just need to tick off 4 in a cloud of dust, rather than trying to find the homerun every play and living with three zero yard gaines for every miraculous 12 yard pick up.

The reliable 4 yards almost every touch is what i really apprediated about Carson.
