Good find! Satao looks like a keeper so far. He's a rook so he's going to make mistakes... if we're patient, he's going to be the starter at RG for a long time... and thus far, he is earning our patience.

I think that if the OL-men continue to improve their blocking technique the RBs won't be dancing so much in the back field. ;)

Sure was a lot of missed blocks by TE's in that video.

That was mostly #87. Who was coming off a month of absences while rehabbing an injury. I think of #87 as more of a big fast receiver that can help out with the blocking game. Wide receiver DK provides a similar service at times. The long looping run around #88 (sometimes called a finesse block) was as effective as a physical block. I'm impressed with the growth of #88. His developmental process since that first disappointing preseason has been a joy to behold. I've thoroughly enjoyed his developmental process.

I find it useful to remind myself that this is a year that features a rookie coach along with 4 rookie linemen. This comes after having added two starting air raid tackles two years earlier. So getting a formidable running game going has been quite a hill to climb. The kind of challenge not seen since 1976.

But like you, I'm thinking the forecast for run blocking is warming up and looking sunny.
