The pick was bad, but he had a solid game.
I think the thing that gets overlooked is that opposing teams know he is basically the offense, and he still balls most of the time and almost all the time when he has solid protection.
Loved that he pulled the ball down and won it with his legs. First the key first down, then the TD.

We don't want a Lamar style guy. He'll get hurt. Yeah though the man has BURNERS! When he needs to, he can MOVE!
I wish they'd use him more in a "tush push" deal. I think he'd do better than either of our "limping backs".
But K9 is good, just overrated and has no blocking. Charbs is a catching back and, he is better than he's been, but he's never gonna be "the guy".

Notice how Philly has trouble with the push tush since Kelsey retired? I think it probably takes a special skill set by your center to be able to successfully and consistently pull it off as they did last year.

I wish he ran more, it changes his game completely.
Today was a microcosm of what Geno is. Stretches of great play, stretches of bad play, horrific decision making and then a game winning drive when it matters. I’ll say this about Geno, you can confirm any prior you have of him most games and you’re probably not wrong.
Make final drives like that and all is forgotten. Great win.

I love the tush push and I want the Hawks to do that instead of trying to use Charbs the
mule.
As for Geno running, I don't want a runner like Me3 or Lamont. I just want him to use
that straight line speed to keep the D honest a couple times a game like he did there.

100! He definitely has me scratching my head at times but, he has built quite the comeback record here.
There’s been quite a few games where everything looked like shit. Defense, O-line, Geno…coaches doing crazy stuff.
But, in ‘normal’ games, he’s had more than a handful of 4th quarter drives to bring us back. It’s almost become normalized to see him do it. That’s pretty damn impressive.

There were at least three times earlier he could've run for good yards, but held the ball and got sacked or threw it away. I wish he could process just a second faster...

He can be a weapon when he runs more, imo.
EPA/play: Expected Points Added per play, how much value the quarterback contributes on each play.
aDoT (average Depth of Target): The average distance downfield of the pass.
CMP% (Completion Percentage): The percentage of passes successfully completed by the quarterback (not including spikes or throwaways).
xCMP% (Expected Completion Percentage): The percentage of passes the quarterback is expected to complete based on the difficulty of the throws.
CPOE (Completion Percentage Over Expected): The difference between actual% and expected%. The higher the better.
The old argument that Geno isn’t clutch needs to be put to rest. It’s as antiquated as cassette tapes.

I don't mind the picks. With no running game and a bad defense (until recently), we aren't scoring unless he pushes the envelope. It's either that are we get blown out.
If the defense proves consistent, he'll need to dial it back a bit and make sure we get at least 3 in the red zone etc.......
