There are personal issues for him not playing again this season. I'm not above speculating on what the issues are, but either way it doesn't do any good. The Seahawks are off the hook for his remaining salary and can reclaim a pro-rata portion of his signing/roster bonus if they wish. Williams has been available for more than the minimum number of games for his contract to be considered played out after February. If he wants to sign for another team at that point he will be free to do so.

I've never been one to shy away from ripping on players for poor performance, but it feels like bad form to make judgments on a guy before we know why he stepped away. Something really, really bad could have happened to him. He left a lot of money on the table by doing this (and did it in a way where we save money on the cap). It isn't like me rage quitting my minimum wage job at the grocery store because my boss is a stupid bitch.

If he was in a position where he didn't think he would be useful to his teammates, then he did us a favor anyway. He didn't play his best, but he wasn't pouting, dividing the locker room, throwing his teammates under the bus, etc., I'd rather just wish him the best and move on.

Sketchy performances during the losing streak. It feels like a bookie got to him and he had money riding on it, as if he sabotaged this team on purpose many times during key moments of games near goal lines. He has single handedly cost this team 2 losses by his actions alone

Mac is putting together quicker, more agile linebackers that fit schematically and tackle well. Jones is already a huge upgrade. The only other position group we’re struggling at is center. O line is decent when healthy. Cross and Lucas are fine
