Brendon Nelson suggested this in a recent video. I love K9, but the guy is being totally wasted in Seattle. And are we really going to extend him when we don't have 4/5 of our line settled? Might as well have a no name back running behind this atrocious line and get something for K9 while we can.

Running backs have no trade value. So, we get like a third round pick, and then have to use a fourth round pick to replace him (since the team clearly has no faith in McIntosh). Might as well hold onto him while he's cheap. His contract certainly isn't prohibitive in any way.

I like him too but look how far we have to go with this line. Literally 4/5 of it needs replaced. The guy is being wasted. As usual, we put the cart before the horse.
You have to get a good line whether you trade away your bird in the bush or not. Trading him just makes yet another thing you have to get. Our 1-2 set of RBs is a done deal. Focus on the line and a new QB.

If Seattle starts shipping off their premier talent right now, just burn the whole damn thing down.

Seattle, will be a joke of an NFL franchise.

Right now, franchise wise, Seattle is probably top 16 or so in the NFL.

As far as franchise stability quality rankings goes not current Wins Losses power rankings.

But Seattle starts selling their stock and their farm, the whole thing might start to derail for Jody Allen.

At this rate, the Seahawks would turn into the Mariners, being the minor league team that all the good consistent teams poach young talent from.

The Seahawks would become a joke.

I’ve taken a new direction.

Geno may never get better than he is right now. DK is a 1500+ yard receiver on most teams (not this one). Tyler should be a Kansas City Chief. K9 could be a Top 5 back but, his name isn’t Barry Sanders.

What am I alluding to? MM needs to burn it all down. The interior should be addressed first. Our O-line is horrid. Fill in the gaps on D-line. Mafe and Murphy as the two that remain.

I absolutely LOVE Big Cat…he’s wasting away here.

Be honest with yourself…if you made a list of veteran players we should retain, I’m guessing you’d come up with 10-12. If that…

Rookies and rookie contracts are a given…you obviously keep/develop those.

Jordan Mason is an undrafted RB averaging 5.1 yards a carry for the Niners.

BUILD this team from the inside out. If Howell is your QBotF, throw his ass in there immediately.

We’re not 1-3 players away from competing. Nowhere close to that.

Oh yah…dump Grubb. We’ve seen enough.

Sound crazy? When I read it back, it certainly sounds crazy. But I believe that’s what it’s going to take to get this going in the right direction.

I concur with this Field Gulls article

For what? What return do you think anyone gets for a running back in this era?

Good grief people are in heat for unknowable draft picks.
That’s what I thought after the Giants loss. A bit preemptive eh?

But…now? People in purgatory are rumored to not know they’re in purgatory.

Im all for it. Take a look at the Lions. I think all but 1 of their starting O-line we
re 1st rd picks. Been saying to start with the trenches 1st. Get the "jersey movers" later.

💯.

I guarantee you Charb could average 5 YPC…with an average line.

Two things this is not.

1. It's not baseball, where players can be largely plug and play.

2. It's not fantasy football, where you can get your fellow league mates drunk and take advantage.

I just read your post and yes,
It does sound crazy.

It just looks like a lot of pissed off fans that want something to be done ... ANYTHING!!!

Lets get rid of 40 or so players and " start over". Do you have any idea how that would look?
I don't think there is a scenario where that's feasible. How many rounds in an NFL draft?
Seven? Ok , after that you're signing other teams' castoffs , contract disputes , injuries , malcontents , age outs.

Or the team would've signed the player themselves!

I don't agree with this at all.
