I’m one of the few rooting for him. His stats last year were solid 26-8 TD/int with not many weapons.

This is UGLY. What an embarassment. I don't understand how he fell off so hard. He can't even aim basic passes anymore.

I love how the camera pans over to Justin Fields. Subliminal message to the Head Coach.

Still can throw that moon ball though.
Eh, he's working the play action pretty well, but that moon ball was actually pretty badly underthrown.

Fortunately for Russ, that Jets DB was holding so badly Pickens didn't get to outrun the pass. If the DB was actually playing the ball and not so worried about getting beat, he probably could have picked that off pretty easy.

Pickens just made a ridiculous catch.

EDIT: Also pretty nuts no official threw a flag on that. Some of the most blatant holding/pass interference you could see.

Pickens is good.

Wilson is, I don't know, not exactly settling in, but... He still looks mostly bad but that fade to the corner was pretty good. He threw the pass right before into the dirt though.

I don't know. Think if he stays, he'll be the same as he was last year with Broncos: Decent simple numbers that hide a fundamentally inefficient QB. That said, he is a big play merchant and his one big pass was actually underthrown and the other was PI.

So, not sure. I still feel like it was a mistake to bench Fields but I think I understand the thought process. My big takeaway is that Tomlin isn't really committed to either of these guys.

Y'all are crazy. You can win with Russ, you just need a solid, D< a good run game and to rely on a lot of deep down the sidelines passes, which Pickens is perfect for (unless he takes the play off as he so often does, the guy is SO much worse a diva than DK).

Even at his best Russ was never that guy who could win consistently solely on the passing game. Never could really see over the middle, never could consistently move the sticks, but always had that big pretty ball that scored a lot. He's not much different now than ever. It requires a certain style of game to be successful, but the Stealers might just be about a perfect fit for him.

I'm rooting for him anyway. I don't have any hate left for him, would love to see him succeed.

Say what you will about DK, he plays with a ton of heart and bleeds for his team. I'll take that over a phony with tons of talent who doesn't care and takes tons of plays off like Pickens.

Russ has made some ridiculous throws tonight. Dude has the longest touchdown streak in the entire NFL. I posted this elsewhere but I have a friend who works at the facility and they say Russ is hands down the best and nicest athlete they’ve ever been around. Said he treats EVERYONE at the facility so nice.
