Is by the far the single most important player we have on this team, and the last two games i would say is more than enough evidence with his absence.
Do you have any evidence that Murphy is regularly drawing double and triple teams with Williams next to him? Seems unlikely, but I'd be happy to amend that position if presented with evidence of the contrary. Is that very rookie who’s commanding 2-3 players to guard him that lifts this defense. Without him this is the very same defense as last yr.
Wyman talks about it all the time. He gets doubled on the regular.Do you have any evidence that Murphy is regularly drawing double and triple teams with Williams next to him? Seems unlikely, but I'd be happy to amend that position if presented with evidence of the contrary.
I'm looking for anything that actually shows that, but everything I'm seeing that even mentions it is preseason. I don't know who Wyman is. Does he give any actual numbers or anything to show it happens "on the regular"? I believe PFF tracks double-team percentage, but I don't have access to their stuff. And "triple teams"? It would be cool if that's happening. Also, Mafe missed those same games. Are teams not focused on him?Wyman talks about it all the time. He gets doubled on the regular.
He sounds like somebody who should know something about the league. If he, or anyone, has anything in print, I'd be happy to read about how Murphy is drawing more attention from opposing offenses than Williams or Mafe, to the point where he's even getting triple teamed. Or if there's a clip of Wyman (or anyone) talking about it.He played in the NFL for 9 years. Dave Wyman. He's not the only former player who talks about the impact Murphy has because of his double teams, opening up plays for other guys.

then do a search look up videos on surely not going to hold your hand about it when everyone else around here has seen the same thing with him. currently and former players have talked about it, media heads have spoke about it. Opposing fans have mentioned it. Not our problem if you don’t want to or refuse to look it up or check.I'm looking for anything that actually shows that, but everything I'm seeing that even mentions it is preseason. Well, if this evidence is so easy to find, it shouldnt be difficult to provide one example when you're making the claim. I did look it up. I'm seeing nothing since preseason.I’m

Yeah I doubt Wyman is making it up and it fits my eye test when I watch the games. He played in the NFL for 9 years. Dave Wyman. He's not the only former player who talks about the impact Murphy has because of his double teams, opening up plays for other guys.

If someone has access to PFF, I'd much appreciate if that person could cite where Murphy stands on double-team percentage. Triple teams too if they have that.
D. Jones - 17.1M/Damn, Seattle, looks like they need to draft another few studs on the defensive line cause the guys we have now are not as impactful as Murphy….and Murphy is a rookie, albeit, a very talented rookie, Seattle still lacks talent….
That Dremont Jones signing was a huge whiff….everyone else, I am somewhat content with…D. Jones - 17.1M/
L. Williams - 21.5M/
U. Nwosu - 15.0M/
B. Murphy - 1st rd (16)
B. Mafe - 2nd rd (40)
D. Hall - 2nd rd (37)
J. Reed - 4.7M/
C. Young - 4th rd
M. Morris - 5th rd
So much invested. So little return.
Says Murphy gets double teamed 78% of the time
