Alright, gents. Only one way to settle this, and it's the oldest way known to man. Everyone unzip, biggest one wins.

With that out of my system, for a season long trophy? How about having everyone guess Seattle's 2024 Points For AND Points Against. Every point off for each gets added together and the person with the smallest differential wins.

That might not be a full season thing though if you're looking for weekly engagement
I won!

You'll want something that doesn't take a significant investment in tracking week to week... too much work.
This^^^^. No matter what it ends up being.

Point differential makes sense because of the large span of numbers possible.

I think you would be fine going down one layer from there, whatever that next layer is. Points for, points against, or points scored in the last game.

Max needed to go is three layers. Two would likely suffice with the limited number of participants.

Name the teams All Pro's and Pro Bowlers?

Maximum of 10 guesses, 10 points for every 1st team All pro you get right, 5 points for every 2nd team All pro, 3 points for every pro-bowler. Highest score wins? Bonus 25 points for MVP/OPOY/DPOTY/OROTY/DROTY/CPOTY (but you can only choose 1!)

Edit: and if you want additional monthly engagement, can guess a player to win one of the weekly/monthly prizes in September/October/November/December

How many points does Macdonald get in AP Coach of the Year voting? (Last year's voting: Stefanski 165, Ryan's 165, Campbell 33, Shanahan 26, Harbaugh 26, McVay 21, Tomlinson 5, Stephen 4, LaFleur 2, Bowles 1, McDaniel 1, McDermott 1.)

How about predict the teams record and whomever is correct, as there will likely be more than one, the tiebreaker would be the closest to guess points scored during by the Hawks during the regular season wins.

Predict:

Team regular season record
+
(Tiebreaker) Total regular season points scored

Easy and Encompasses the most important things.

Since it's a Shaun jersey, #37, how about:
a) Which Seahawk will score the 37th TD of the season? (If Hawks score < 37 TDs, whoever scores the FINAL TD of the season)
or,
b) Which Seahawk will score the 28th TD of the season, commemorating Shaun's record-setting 28 TD's in his MVP season?
(including defensive and special teams TDs)

Now I'd like to think the Seahawks will score AT LEAST 28 TDs this season so that seems like a more certain bet, though they should score at least 37 TDs also.

OK, keeping with the Shaun Alexander theme:

I was going to say who is the first to score a TD of 88 yards or more, but nah, don't really like that.
However, the 88 yarder, and other HUGE Shaun plays happened in Sunday night games. Shaun absolutely freakin' LIT UP those Sunday Night games for a couple years.

How about: First Seahawk player to score a TD in a Sunday Night game?

How do you know it’s not a jock strap?

I never said it was a jersey.

Hmmmmmmm

I kinda liking the total points for / points against for the entire regular season.

But we gotta make it interesting and keep the thread alive throughout.

What do y’all think about……

Total reg season differential (points for & points against) prediction WITHOUT going over in either category. Closest wins but….

In order to stay eligible you have to post a weekly prediction for every Seahawk game in this thread. W or L with score.

In the event of an unlikely tie:

1st tie breaker will be who scores the first defensive TD

2nd tie breaker if necessary will be the first rookie (O or D) to score a TD

This is only a suggestion/thought, I’m looking for input.

Sounds ok but also like a lot of admin work to input these numbers each week. Again, why not just predict the Seahawks final regular season record and whoever predicted it right at seasons end, the tiebreaker would be something like total points scored, or points for and against difference?

Either way it’s your contest so you do whatever you want as we appreciate the gesture 😊

If your prize is just one, your level of excitement generation is hard to maintain every game. If you want to keep folks active every game but can win only at the end, it’s an anti pattern to instant gratification. One question that would be intriguing to predict with an asterisk would be, who would the Hawks play in the first round of playoffs or another would be which game that we don’t play would become the decider on if the Hawks make it or not. This kind of garners excitement more to get into the dance but it’s way more exciting than flat out numbers and over under. Ofcourse all contests have to locked in before the season starts and pinned. Trust me it makes things much more conversational than predicting yards.

Another idea is number of takeaways for the entire season or predict a game with most takeaways.
You may also want to throw in a few prizes like the Hawks wrist bands as consolation prizes if you have any remaining from our Houston one shoe interception game in 2013😂
Just a few thoughts

A few prizes?

Come on Bro.
Remember the “prize” comes from my personal collection, and it’s entirely on my dime. It’s not like this little game is funded by some multi million dollar conglomerate.

I simply want to have a contest, and keep this particular thread active throughout the season. (Will probably sticky).

I don’t offer up junk, last year was a #24 autographed mini helmet (not cheap by any standards).

I’d be happy to offer multiple prizes, how bout you Venmo me 4-500 $ and we’ll get it done.

I'll be happy to Venmo into a pool if we are doing a cash prize.
