As times in the past, I’m willing to offer up something from my personal collection as a prize to the winner of a contest.

Unfortunately I can’t come up with something unique to do as a season long contest.

For the sake of discussion and in an attempt to create something intriguing, this thread is open to all ideas.

Please keep in mind, I’ve always offered up something of value to real Seahawk fans that enjoy the memorabilia world, take this slightly seriously and offer up ideas that are real and workable.

In spite of any differences we may have had, I love y’all and consider you my extended “Seahawk family”.

Please help me come up with a fun and competitive contest.

At this point (subject to change) I’m considering an autographed “worn” uniform piece. Shawn Alexander

GoHawks.

* guess who scores the first defensive touchdown
* Guess how many games before Christian McCafferty is injured
* Total points Seattle vs Denver
* NFC WEST standings after. 5 games

I'm going to have to take a little break 😔

No problem.

I’d like to make this something that won’t be determined until our season is over.

Alright, gents. Only one way to settle this, and it's the oldest way known to man. Everyone unzip, biggest one wins.

With that out of my system, for a season long trophy? How about having everyone guess Seattle's 2024 Points For AND Points Against. Every point off for each gets added together and the person with the smallest differential wins.

That might not be a full season thing though if you're looking for weekly engagement

You'll want something that doesn't take a significant investment in tracking week to week... too much work. Has to be some statistic at the end of the regular season/

One possibility... the Hawks point differential at the end of the regular season makes a lot of sense.

Closest to the actual point differential wins the contest.

In the event that no one picks the actual number, the person closest to the actual number wins.

In the event that more than one person is closest to the actual number, the tiebreaker could be closest to the "Points For".

In the event that more than one person is closest to the "Points For", the tiebreaker could be the closest to the "Points Against".

In the event that more than one person is closest to the "Points Against" as well, the tiebreaker could be the person closest to the Total Points Scored in the Last Game of the Regular Season. That should break any remaining ties.

In my scenario, the contestants would submit three numbers... the Hawks season-ending point differential (Points For and Points Against)... and the total points scored in the last game of the regular season.

If my suggestion wins a prize, I'll donate it to the winner of your contest. lol

How about who will be the first to complain about the team on this board the second the season starts upon kickoff? This is a sure fire way of everyone entering the contest.

First defensive TD, would certainly be a great tie breaker.

How about a quarterly season/monthly comp? One that builds to a season total/ladder finish. Each with a different theme.

1st month - number of completions to DK

2nd month - total distance of successful field goals

3rd month - number of touchbacks on kickoffs

End of season - total points for/ total points against

It'd be 1/4 of the work to keep track of than weekly but still keeps it spaced to keep peoples attention on that month's theme?
