Older but still an upgrade at 1B, imo.

Solid upgrade. Probably means Vlad isn’t available. My guess is he will platoon with Rojas at 3B but mainly play DH.

I like this part a LOT:

Turner went to the postseason in nine consecutive seasons with the Dodgers from 2014 to ‘22, hitting .270 with 13 home runs and an .830 OPS over 86 career postseason games. He also has a ring from the 2020 World Series.

Even if Turner is more of a role player down the stretch, that experience brings serious value and he’s hit left-handed pitching well enough in 2024 to be used in a platoon.

He's on a 2 year deal, so we'd have to eat some salary, but it would probably be worth it. At least Polo is hitting above .200 finally. Can't afford those holes in the lineup if we really want the pennant.

Turner is at the end of his career ( will be 40 in November). Another example of the Mariners basement shopping. Vladimir Guerrero was never a consideration presently making $20 million a year, will be a free agent in 2026 who will probably get $30 million AAV

If Ms make the playoffs they will have 3 guys in their line up who have played in or won a World Series. That would be so huge.

Yeah, Chargois is a nice pickup. Not flashy, but he was good for us a couple of years ago. Overall, a pretty decent trade deadline this year.

Dipoto and Hollander didn't touch their top end talent and still added some bats and relief arms, the M's are still fully stocked in the ML's. I didn't get the Superstar I wanted, but still happy with the outcome.
