I loved the JSN pick last year and still do. Agree with the writer that Waldren didn't know how to utilize his unique skills in his O...I don't expect Grubb to have that issue.

I got a lot of blow back from Bears fans last year when I said Poles should have drafted Carter or JSN instead of Wright. I expect to be vindicated, beginning in 2024.

I think he becomes the new #1 or super close to it.
I can see him being #1 in terms of productivity depending on what Grubb's scheme ends up being and if he's best and using a dynamic slot WR, but even if he's #1 in production I don't think he'll be used much on the outside as a prototypical #1. Even if DK were to be traded/injured/whatever, I'd hope they'd keep JSN in the slot where I think he's best.

(Edited to fix Gibbs -> Grubb)

I expect him lining up all over. He may not be the prototypical 6'3 streaker...but his skills getting open can frustrate the best CB's in the game. His decent 40-yd time with absolute elite change of direction allow him to play any WR position.

Physically, yeah, but what makes him elite is his IQ and ability to work zones (even more than his change of direction, IMO). He'll just be open more often and get more YAC working inside, so that's where I'd prefer to see his snaps.

I agree on that being his sweet spot...just saying that he can be a nightmare on the outside as well. If you're a corner on the edge and see him opposite...he's gonna give you headaches because of his IQ and ability.

Can they start the season next week please.

I agree. I think JSN can honestly play all of the Grubb rolls decently but in the slot he would be scary good.

My impression of him from watching his college highlight videos wasn't just that he had elite change of direction, but that he had a gift for suddenly going in a direction the defender didn't expect him to go.

I remember a white guy that played for us a few years back that could do the same.
