I can't remember the last time that I really couldn't care less about a game than this. Maybe Mahomes will bite off his tongue, Kelce will get caught with a room full of hookers and coke, prompting the Swifties to take out a contract on his ass, and the 9ers will all get the - SMALL- pox.

Shouting that at a game or in a bar would have about the same fanbase-stirring effect as a bad fart. At least they dropped the “Who’s got it better than us?” cringe, which was the previous title holder.

Hmmm, I guess I'd be watching it even if it was Carolina vs. Atlanta in the last game of the season. That's how much of a football nut I am.

Mahomes is a phenomenal talent, and I love watching him play, even if I don't care much for his team. I enjoyed watching Brady and Manning even while they played for teams I couldn't stand. (I don't know if I can say the same about CMC, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle even though they are great players just because my loathing of the 49ers is so great.)

But I will have a strong rooting interest in this game. I will be rooting hard for the 49ers to lose. No contest as to who I hate more between those two teams. I will be a strong Chiefs fan on February 11.

My daughter (the Jets fan) will be coming over and we will prepare all manner of unhealthy food to eat. We will commiserate about our miserable seasons and make fun of each other's teams. I wouldn't miss that for the world.

PS: Who Taylor Swift dates has absolutely no impact on who I root for or on my enjoyment of the game.

I think this will be a very good SB with at least two of the three best teams in football. What's with all the sour grapes? You can watch perhaps the most talented QB of all time playing at the top of his game against a divisional rival most of us would like to see lose. There's all sorts of all-pro talent in the game, and perhaps as many as six future HOFers. A great football game is a great football game, and this could well be one of them. As a football fan, I like that kind of high drama.
