Wow, 6 pages in just a few hours for a non-Seahawk player/team. Amazing.

Obviously, Russell wasn't the primary reason the Broncos lost today. The Fins put up the most points by an NFL team since 1966 and didn't punt the entire game. But their offense didn't do anything to help their D out as they were just 3-12 on 3rd down, 0-1 on 4th, and didn't score an offensive TD in the 2nd half. Unless you want to count the Hail Mary at the end of last week's game, it was the second game in a row where the Broncos offense didn't score a TD in the 2nd half.

Russell is now 4-14 as a starter and the Donkeys are off to a 0-3 start. Next week, they get what is almost unarguably the worst team in the league in the Chicago Bears, losers of 17 of their last 18 games, including their last 14 games in a row (that's counting today as they're currently behind the Chiefs 41-10). They lose to the Bears it's my guess that Payton pulls the plug on Russell.

Russ made his bed, I’ll never feel bad for him. He couldn’t just admit he was a product of the system.
But that's the thing. Russ wasn't a product of the system. He couldn't run a typical NFL offense so one had to be designed around him, the play after the play offense, with the scramble drill a mainstay of their practices.

But do you want them to get the best QB in the next draft? I'd be fine with them being like the 5th worst team in the league.
Lol I dont care if they get the best qb in the draft. I just didnt want to see Russ succeed after all the crap he did over the last season. Plus they wont have enough cap space or picks to provide Caleb with help to succeed.

We want them to beat Chicago tho. No way they get out of Hell with a first pick!

one post over there lol which they're not wrong:
Payton’s accomplishments:

1. Had Drew Brees on his team.

2. Paid bounties to hurt opposing players.

3. Worst loss in Broncos history.

Thanks “coach”

He couldn't even muster that little cherub smile he usually does when he's positively pontificating.

Hes definitely shook, as well he should be For Peyton keeping him in the whole game Doing the same ol.

After the fins edged them by 30 that was the time for moon balls to become the preferred option if whatever Payton called is breaking down. We saw last week that Russ can still execute Hail Marys, so why not make that the focus?

Conversely and more realistically, you swap Russ out once the lead extends past 30.

They are in serious meltdown now. Their defense was supposed to be stout and keep them in games. How's that looking now?

They could be the most dire team/franchise now, in a small class with the Bears, and I want to say Cards, but they beat Dallas and actually looked better than expected in their other two losses.

Bad to be a Bronco fan now.
