Makes me wonder who that ball was supposed to be going to.

I see him being “the guy” that opposing QBs have to be aware of no matter where they are going with the ball or where he is when they release the ball.

I know we all hate Jalen Ramsey, but it's the only accurate comparable. Spoon's a dog, and we're going to love him.

This is the kind of instinct of a year 2 or 3 in the NFL player has, not in college.

That tape shows me more than just good instincts.
I believe it also shows that he was coached well AND has the intelligence to retain and use what he’s learned.
As was pointed out, he lined up perfectly, many times on all teams we see defenders get taken out of a play because they got caught up in “the wash”.

I’m super stoked, and looking forward to seeing him evolve as a Pro.

Most DB's, even in the NFL with this play would probably recognize the motion and their assignment too late, and MAYBE make the play at the LOS at best, and at worst not catch up before it's too late.......resulting in a TD. I know we've see that far too many times here.

Not only does Witherspoon diagnose the motion early, but he attacks it without fear of missing and giving up the TD.

That's the rare part, instincts + no fear/aggressiveness. Too often, especially in DB's they play to not get beat, as opposed to playing to make the play.

So I thought his elite pursuit and tackling was best utilized from the slot (closer to the action, Palamaulu style). But now that I know he can sky like this, he may be just as well suited for boundary. Those 6'5, large-catch-radius "X" receivers can be effectively dealt with when you can leap like that.

I’m thinking CB 1
Woolen has the same abilities obviously and experience but I feel DW is more aggressive with the run support as well.
I just feel blessed to have these 2 locking down the outside for years
