#Seahawks have agreed to terms with QB Drew Lock on a one-year deal worth $4 million base with incentives that can take it to $7.5 million, source says. Seattle brings both Geno Smith and Lock back for 2023.

I don't necessarily think it means that. Could be extra competition for a rookie to backup Geno. 4 mil no signing bonus is peanuts.

Until we see contract details we don't really know what it means. 4 mil base no guarantees wouldn't mean anything, but Lock will have gotten some guarantees in any deal he was signing now.

Interesting. I figured Lock would end up in a situation where he had a better shot at getting playing time (Atlanta, Indy, Tampa, etc maybe), but it doesnt sound like he had much interest. Good to have a backup who knows the system. Definitely does not take AR15 out of consideration, seeing as he shouldnt be seeing the field as a rookie anyway.
