Tempting, and I'm sure Diggs would be ecstatic.

But no, I'd rather draft our next corner and save the insane salary and draft capital it'd take to get Slay, who's still one of the best CB's in the league.
Agreed. We usually hit good on secondary in the draft in later rounds

Agreed. And as other have or will say, I don’t think we can afford him. At least not without making some serious sacrifices.

Over 20M in salary next year and a 26M cap hit?

YIKES!

So yeah, anyone even remotely considering trading for Slay is going to want to extend him for AT LEAST another 2-3 years to get some cap relief off this nasty hit number. For a 32 year old corner?

Nah. I'm good.

Shelby Harris is the same it appears

Yeah 12M salary with almost 9M of cap savings if we cut him.

A dude I'd love to bring back at a lower number. So we'll see, but he played well enough to revisit on the free agent market in a couple months. Good interior rotation guy. Especially since there's no way we bring back Poona.

Someone should start a DT tackle free agency tracking thread. I would, but I'm not that well versed in it.
