Runs a 4.8 (faster than Trey Lance) but will know more after 3 cone drill and other intangibles but I like his size and motor

Some mock drafts are putting Tyree Wilson ahead of Will Anderson. I think I'd be happy with either.

He feels like a guys that isn't gonna make the HOF but also isn't gonna bust to me. I'd be just fine with him at 5.

I don't think we should overthink it. Every year, there is a late riser who gets picked over the consensus pick. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

Last year, early on, it was thought that Kayvon Thibodeaux and Aidan Hutchinson were thought of as the top edge rushers, and then Jacksonville ended up taking Travon Walker at number one. Walker finished with 3.5 sacks, and Hutchinson with 9.5. Thibodeaux had 4 sacks but he was injured early in the season and missed a couple of games.

I don't think he's on the same echelon as Carter and Anderson. He'd be a consolation prize without an obvious home, as he's a definite tweener. He's probably too big to be a true edge on passing downs, so he'll need to be able to play inside - but can he do that well enough to justify being selected in the top half of the first? Now that's a SERIOUS projection.

He's definitely not in the mold of a traditional Seahawks edge defender, be that pre-2022 or the most recent scheme we saw. Not a SAM, not a LEO. Maybe a big end a la Collier, but hopefully actually good?

I don't know. He's not on my shortlist and I think if you end up selecting Tyree, then you probably should've traded down if a reasonable offer was there.

Depends on what you mean by best. He's certainly one of the most physically gifted and he can definitely turn speed into power. However, he is not the most polished I've seen. In the videos I've watched I have yet to see an actual pass-rushing move (rip, club, swim, etc.). He either beats his man off the snap and/or shoves him into the QBs lap. I also have to wonder how well he'll do dropping into coverage. At least initially, he could end up as a 3 tech in Seattle's bear front.

He is an exciting young prospect but he would not be the best edge rusher on the team if the Hawks drafted him. Uchenna Nwosu had 9.5 sacks, 26 QB hits, and had 62 total pressures in 2022. He had also had 12 tackles for loss and held his own in the run game. He is a top 15 Edge player in the NFL rushing and against the run. You telling me a rookie DE/Edge with no real pass moves can do better than that?

I like him as a prospect but comments like this should be checked and questioned. Let's be realistic people...

Yeah. This feels similar. A player is overhyped by the media to gain clicks. It’s just raising conversation so there is something to write about. Baalke was dumb enough to bite on that. Let’s see if someone does the same this year.

I want to see how he runs and his agility at the Combine. I'm seeing him being listed as an Edge and I just don't see how he fits the defense. I think he can be a pretty dynamic 3T on passing downs.

Idk I just feel like Will Anderson Jr is this year’s version of Thibodeaux. Which isn’t good. Wilson plays like Michael Bennett to me and would set the edge against the running teams like SF
