In the beginning of the year, Geno was considered THE bottom of the League Quarterback, a "Has Been" that would be lucky to win FIVE GAMES for the Seahawks; 4,280 yards, the Playoffs.
More of a ‘Never Was’ which is why Comeback Player makes no sense. Late Bloomer award works for me.

Exactly. That's why I dont understand it. Guy finally had a good year during his career and he gets 'Comeback Player Of The Year'? What did he come back from? Sucking?

Makes me think of Mike Williams when he was talking about him compared to Leon Washington. He basically said "I came back from being lazy, Leon came back from having a bone sticking out of his leg" :ROFLMAO:

Nobody is peeing on anything. Just asking what he came back from. He was actually a 2nd rounder.
Never mind.

He was a first-round pick and a starter. It's not he was Mr Irrelevant or something. Jesus Christ, why do people feel the need to pee in others' Cheerios?
2nd round and does starting for the Jets really count?

Jets bashing aside, Geno’s 29 starts for them were the definition of mediocre.

The question remains: what was he coming back from?

Yes, he had a phenomenal year but this isn't the Break Out Player award. I always thought part of comeback means there was some notable level of play to come back to, which Geno didn't have. I have no problem with him getting it, I just wasn't expecting him to.

He was actually a 2nd round pick. My impression of the comeback player was someone who came back from injury. Geno did earn it this year. So I don't mind him getting an award even though it may be mistitled in his case.

Regarding his not showing up to accept the award, I think Geno's perspective is that last year is done and he's looking forward with full intent on surpassing everything he did this year. If that is the case kudos for his value system!

Well obviously the folks that gave him that award because he came back from being a bottom of the League, and obscure nobody that was supposed to only win 5 games at the most and felt that he earned it by putting in the hard work, and record breaking numbers that he put up, that's not "Breaking Out" that's Breaking misconceived opinions.

Damn man, you sure get worked up over Geno. Relax man. People have their opinions, keep that BP down, bad for your health to freak out over every little "slight" you think people throw at Geno. He had a hell of a season. He also played 17 games, so that whole "record breaking" numbers thing, meh.
Geno is a good QB, he is not Elite. You make it sound like he's top 5 in the league.
