I dont know about that. Juscyyzk is 31, but Armstead and Kittle are still 29. For example, Travis Kelce is 33. Probably 2-3 more years
Kelce plays with a wunderkind at QB. If you had the best QB in the league on your roster, I wouldn't have made that statement.
I mean their skill positions alone outside Juice are 29, 27, 26, and 24. That's not aging out of their window.

He's talking about Marshawn, but 2015 was his 10th year in the league.
It wasn't a like-for-like comparison. Also, Seattle had a better core than the Niners currently, Kam, Sherm, Thomas, Wagner, Wilson, Wright, etc, and they still weren't a legit Superbowl contender after 2015. Why? Because they lacked the assets to replace difference makers on both sides of the line as the rest of their core aged.

They also didn't draft well late in that run. Same can't be said for SF.

Of course, a window doesn't last forever. I just think people on this site are dramatically overstating the state of the 49ers window.

...bro.

You really think they are gonna drop 37 mil on another QB? uh...no.

Unless his name is Brady or Rodgers (neither of which do I see happening), their QBs will be Purdy, Lance, and likely a rookie draft pick. Purdy injury doesn't change that.

He is set to be back in 6 months which is before training camp.

This changes if its Tommy John, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

That's what it is going to take if y'all are forced to sign Jimmy G.

Purdy is facing Tommy John surgery, they are just putting lipstick on a pig right now, while waiting on second opinions. My post is written from that scenario. Even if he doesn't require the surgery, the chances that he will be an effective passer in 2023 are slim.

Let me ask you this. In the worst-case scenario that Purdy is out for 9 to 12 months, what do you think the Niners do? Roll with Lance and a scrap heaper/ true rookie, or will they pay the going rate for Jimmy G?

Either way, San Francisco went from one of the best QB situations in the league to one of the more challenging.

Brady will be around the 41 million mark, and Rodgers will probably demand more than that.

You weren't the better team. Eagles are on fire.
The 49er defense was more then worthy against the Eagles D .

The 49er Offense was better once McCaffrey was signed.

If the 49ers 3rd string QB wasn't hurt the 49ers offense would have put up atleast 21 points.

If you understand the game you would know that time of possession is important to how many points the other team scores.

Take your hate for the 49ers somewhere else.

Comeback when you actually know how to disect a football game.

Niners dominated before the salary cap. They purchased their wins. Have not won a Super Bowl in the post cap era.
The thing is every team in the 80's and first half of the 90s had the same opportunity.

So what happened to the Seahawks until 2013 ?

Answer me that 😁 Your argument is sad pathetic and hilarious 😂

I'm sorry Red, I respect you, I gotta call you out on that one.

That's such a played BS line. "They purchased their wins".

That's total BS.

Yes, Eddie D was an owner unafraid to spend money and he paid his player handsomely.

However, THERE WAS NO FREE AGENCY.

Players didn't have the freedom to leave and the 49ers didn't spend all their money attracting the best free agents.

They won 4 rings with players they drafted and traded for. Their last SB was in the first year of Free Agency.

Now EVERY team purchases wins.
The truth is that every owner in the NFL had more then enough money and the opportunity to aquire a Championship team.

Every owner in the NflL tried to create a business that would generate money.

Most were greedy and failed to aquire a Championship. ( Cleveland Browns)

Debartolo wanted a Championship. He aquired 5 of them.

It's not my fault that the Seahawk Owner didn't get a single Championship until 2013.

I'm not here to argue with Seahawk fans. I'm just here to talk football.

The 49ers and Debartolo won.

So much from fans who polish a single trophy.

Thank you for the laugh. Says the Niners fan who is spending all his time on a SEAHAWKS BOARD. And can't even just admit his team got smoked.

1994 called and is feeling extra lonely..........

Paul Brown lied to Nordstrom about Bill Walsh. Said he was an alcoholic that they were having terrible problems with. Nordstrom had wanted to interview him for head coach. History could have been much different.

Draft well? I don't subscribe to that narrative. The Niners haven't had the sustained success to draft in the bottom 20 of every round for multiple seasons. We've done that math.

My statement was not dramatic. The window for Armstead, Williams, Kittle, etc., is closing. And there's no guarantee that you'll replace those guys. That's not to say you guys won't be a playoff team. But I think it's fair to question whether you are a bonafide Superbowl contender past next season, barring Lance or someone becoming an elite QB.

You see .....I don't think what the 49ers did was all that impressive.

As a 49er Fan I believe most of us thought the team would win the NFC West if the Rams fell off. They did. The Seahawks were a surprise for any educated fan.

Beating the Cowboys in the playoffs was a given. Its just what most of us believed.

Getting to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME was expected. Yep! Expected.

Losing two NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES in a row was not.

The 49ers are officially a team that can't finish. A team that can't finish with all that "supposed " talent .

Very disappointing.
Sorry, just getting to this. Enjoy the fact that your team is really good. Seattle owned this division for years and I'm not saying that to be a jerk.
