Then set it up with a 6 on 4 to allow tie with 3.9 seconds from a win. Then an OT loss **** refs are so rigged in every sport

6 on 4.

Carson Soucy got called for roughing in the final seconds of the game (he punched their guy in the back of the head.) They pulled their goalie and scored with 3 seconds to go.

The guy was high elbowing the ef out of Soucy, But Soucy should have decked him after the time expired. Refs will call that punch 100% of the time. Cost them a point.

When teams 50 years ago lost was it because “they” rigged the game…

Was the Hawks SB win…”rigged”
Sonics 79…
Sounders, Storm… did Seattle win any legit?

Or is it only when our team loses?

Soucey has to eat that loss, dude deserved the punch but it should’ve come with only a couple seconds left. The next Jets game will be fun.

I have been watching Hockey since 1958. My grandfather is in the Hockey hall of fame and was the President of the Western Hockey League when it was a pro league and not juniors.

No I don't think it is rigged only when my teams lose. I have watched atrocious officiating against many many teams that I don't follow over the years. Yes like football, and basketball, the Refs can influence any games decision. Refs are betting in every league. (documented)

But it doesn't excuse it when the Refs call most of the calls one way and allow the other team to do things that they call against the other.

Yes the frustration of Soucey exploded, mostly because all game long the Refs were allowing the Jets to get away with so much while being ticky tacky against the Kraken.

Why is it that so many believe that all refs are 100% honest and fair but don't believe the same about the rest of humanity???

Ps yes SB 40 was totally rigged. The Sonic's loss to Washington in finals totally rigged.
No a 48 to 8 score with no officiating controversy no it wasn't rigged for a Hawks win.

It was probably easier to rig a sporting event in the distant past than at any time since about 1980, shall we say. Most people would probably agree, yet, there's still been much to gripe about.

Yes and no easier but less in it when it was harder to bet. Today's money in sport is in the billions.

The temptation to put money on a spread through a proxy then steer the game is far greater than it ever has been.

If you ask anyone what % of the population is beyond reproach you would get 0% who would think that yet we are supposed to believe that officials in all sports are 100% honest, don't try to steer games and only make mistakes.

Yet every sport has documented cases of officials either taking money, betting , or admiting they swung games.

Not saying every game is pre determined, sometimes even the officials can't control a game but a call here or there or a non call can be so subtle as to have an official get a big pay day against the spread.

I believe it happens in every game. I don't buy into the grand League conspiracy, but I do believe more than 60% of the officials are trying to steer the outcome of games. In all leagues.

Yes, in a truly competitive game, a single play or handful of calls can be the difference.
