Fact is, I feel sorry for Charger’s fans, they’ve had a rough go of it. (In the terms that you pointed out)

I married into a Charger family...and that was when we were in the AFC West. You don't even know the half of it.

SD fans just have to shoot up I-5 a hot minute to watch their team and of course they are in the TV market

All of the San Diego fans that I know actively root against the Chargers now. Spanos family spoiled a lot of goodwill over the last few years down there.

Yes, I have some family down in that area and I am close with a bunch of old SD Chargers fans. Used to be a great rivalry back in the day. Now they damn near spit on the ground when they hear the Spanos name.

Similar to Howard Schultz/OKC Thunder reaction in this area.
