Herbert puts too much sauce on some of his throws. They deflect off the receivers hands and get intercepted.

You do realize he is playing with toasted ribs right? Look, I get that Geno is playing well, but he's not on the same level as Herbert. Come on........
I'm plenty happy with how Geno is playing, surprised actually.

Yes we’re aware Geno will never be considered by a loathe-some group of people here at .net and in the sports media as anything more than just average or just below/shy of average when… he leads the league ins completion % like he led college in completion % or is easily playing as of right now a top 10qb.

God forbid the man who’s been humble and put in the work and seeing it pay off.. get the respect and recognition he’s rightfully earned. It would be such a tragedy for that loathe-group of Debbie downers who say the same redundant stupid shit week and week every damn day.

He's playing damn good football, being wrong about a player when it means your team is better? Kind of a no brainer that it's actually a GOOD thing. So if someone doesn't think he's as good as Herbert, that means they are a "hater" or don't "respect" the guy. Come on man. It's an opinion. I'm happy Geno is doing his thing and the team is better for it.

Well I never said hater. And yes I do think if someone doesn’t think he’s as good as Herbert they’re not respecting him or giving him the respect he’s earned. This season.

Because right now that “damn good football” play has been .. actually better than Herbert (he beats Herbert in average yards passing and rushing, Qbr, completion %, ) SO THIS season right now Geno is statistically better. Obviously if you want say career wise to fit yours or anyone else’s argument, No. Then that’s like comparing Russell and Herbert. This year stats wise Herbert is better than Russell. Career wise, no at least not yet.

Fair enough. He's playing better than an injured Herbert. Good, it makes our team better. Not sure why people are getting so bent out of shape about some wanting to see a little more before fully buying in on him being some top tier QB. If you think he's a better overall QB than Herbert (when healthy) that's your opinion.
And I couldn't care less about any other team than the Hawks. He's playing well for us, sweet.
And yes, I get that the OP said SO FAR. He's right.

Herbert is just ahead of Smith in DYAR. Herbert is third in the league, Smith fourth.
Smith is just ahead of Herbert in DVOA. Smith is fifth in the league, and Herbert sixth.
Smith is fourth in the league in QBR. Herbert is eighth.
Smith is third in the league in passer rating. Herbert is 12th.
Smith has the highest completion percentage in the league. Herbert is 12th.

It seems fair to say that through six games, Smith has indeed been better than Herbert.
Both the Seahawks and Chargers are getting tremendous "bang for the buck" from their respective QBs this season, with Herbert on a rookie contract counting $7.249M against the cap and Smith counting for $3.5M.

And since Wilson has been (un)comfortably a bottom-half-of-the-league QB this season, Herbert has clearly been better than Wilson so far this season.

Herbert is playing with toasted ribs. But I guess that should be ignored too.
Sure... lol.. kinda like Wilson is playing with a torn shoulder.

Some of you eat anything up when its mostly all political... He has toasted ribs but you are going to keep throwing your Franchise cornerstone out there? Hmmm smart.
