He now plays for the donko's...he is the enemy.......he got paid here, thats enough.......many players do alot of community stuff........We should boo....as loud as possible, especially when he's on the field.
I don't hate the guy.....love the Lombardi...RW helped bring it here......but he did not do it alone. Don't forget that. I'd like to see us win this game......and if boooo'ing helps...so be it.

No I won't boo him. Regardless of how I feel about how he left, I personally will not boo a person who meant so much to this team's success over the past decade.
Totally agree with this. I won’t be at the game but if I was, I’d be cheering extra loud for every sack on him, any INTs thrown. Basically anything that benefits the Seahawks. Thanks for the memories Russ, but don’t let the door hit ya on the way out!

What’s the motivation behind any booing? He provided a ton of highlights as a Seahawk. Thanks! He gave this franchise QB stability for 10 years like no other era of Seahawks football. Thanks! His trade brought a plethora of picks and players. Thanks! Are those apt to boo, merely wishing he was still a Seahawk?

Sure would. I've already ranted enough about him being a dbag. Someone boo twice for me - 'cause I'm in Canada and will absolutely not be able to make it.

Someone put him on his back please. Then stuff him in the super-truck and push it out in to Puget sound ;)

cya bud.

I have never liked the image and popularity contest crap in sports. Content of character matters and this Brain Bosworth type BS just doesn't fly. To me RW was way more trouble than he was worth. He proved to be better than what we needed but that just hid our short comings for way too long. We really should have cut ties a year or two after the SB loss. He is an amazing player that won games we should have lost but is incapable of becoming an elite QB of Brady or Peyton's level. You can't fix short.

With politicians all we can do is write our congressman. With sports we have a venue to voice our disapproval.

IF the booing gets into Russ's head week 1, I'm okay with that. We need the Broncos to start their season off with an L. We need that high draft pick from them.

Then when and if he signs a one-day contract to retire a Seahawk, you cheer him. Until then we need the Broncos to lose as much as possible.

I compare him to Earl..he was just a lot more disingenuous about how he left. He is an opposing player on another team..nothing more..booing him is not a bad thing.

I won't be there, but if I was I wouldn't boo. Just silence. All things considered I think that's the most appropriate reaction. Like, "You delivered our only Lombardi but then turned out to be almost as disingenuous as A-Rod". Unlike A-Rod who deserved the boos and thrown Monopoly money, no boos are deserved by RW.
I think you can look at three players that left the Mariners in various ways, not just A-rod...
- A-Rod consistently said he wanted to be in Seattle and it wasn't about the money, and then signed with the Rangers for a then record contract.
- Ken Griffey Jr. loved the mariners but had always wanted to play on his Dad's old team, and to return to his home town. He was pretty transparent about that desire and was eventually traded to the Reds.
- Randy Johnson played like a madman for the Mariners, appeared to be starting the downside of his career and was traded when the Mariners didn't think they'd be able to resign him.

Two of those players got cheered when they came back in other uniforms (Randy got a standing ovation), one got booed. Which one is Russ the most like?

Personally, I wouldn't boo him during introductions. I kind of like the idea of silence there, acutally. :) But while he's on the field, I'd treat him like any other opposing player, boos and all.

Because most fans saw right through his corny disingenuous talking out of both sides of his mouth with the saying he loved it here in Seattle one day, and telling his agent to demand trades the next because he was butthurt about how he was being used.

Like others have said, if boo'ing Russ means he's rattled and plays poorly? Hell yeah, boo away. Doesn't change anything about what Wilson has meant to the franchise, and he should know that.

The more I think about it, how about a moment of silence. Total silence. That would be shocking and probably throw him off a bit.
This is where I'm at, only because I don't want to give the pr*ck the satisfaction of thinking he got under our skin.

I like the idea of booing Russ. I see it as showmanship, though. Obviously I loved Russ and everything he accomplished with the Seahawks, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a boo when he's on the field. That's just sports.

LOL at the people acting like booing russ is somehow 'butthurt' or 'overly emotional'.

It's a freakin sport. It's what happens in sports.

You wanna cheer for a guy in another uniform coming to town because he used to play here? That sound more like an unhealthy emotional attachment and reaction to me.

I truly believe that RW has done more for this team than from a fan perspective than all but a handful of players. One day he’ll retire and I’d love to cheer for him in the ring of honor or for him to raise the 12 flag but as long as he’s playing for another franchise I’d boo him as any other opposing player.

I'm not going to boo him, but I support the right of all others to boo Russell to their heart's content.

It's just that investing the energy to boo Russell takes away from focusing on the many exciting young players we now have on the team, and the potential for a 2012-like run with a QB exceeding all expectations.
I disagree. Booing Russ is just a voice warmup for trying to get them to false start all game.
