He's taken this country by storm. 3-0 after tonight. I honestly thought it was a huge gamble going into the season with him for the Lions and all the hype of a Can QB would come crashing down to earth. But through 3 games he's showing to be the real deal. Strong arm, accurate. He had a couple of hiccups tonight as any young first year starter throwing 2 picks.

What I did't realize he had was the ability to scramble and run for yards. CFL players can exercise an option window before the length of their deal if they generate NFL interest and can sign. There's rumours up here that he's being noticed already. He's been a lot better than I expected

If an NFLer, he reminds me a bit of Heineke. That's no insult, as Heineke has carved out a nice career for himself.

Money Hunter, the CB from Hamilton should get NFL looks too.

I am still saying wait and see, that could partly be due to me being stubborn and not admitting I was wrong and / or he plays for a rival :). But if he keeps up with what he's doing right now the rest of the year, he'd be worth a look. It's no a long trip for the Hawk scouts to check him out in person!

If you are paying close enough attention to know players like Hunter, are you a fellow Canadian or follow the league?

Seven games into the season and he’s boasting an 81% completion rate. Racking up yardage like crazy. I’ve been watching football for 50 years. This guy’s the real deal. 6’2” 200 lbs, 4.7 40, so a true dual threat. Best thing though is his poise. Plays like he’s been around 7-8 years. Calm, goes through progressions, reads coverage well, VERY accurate. Would have been drafted had he played at a bigger Div 1 school, and been American (lack of scouting data).

I stand corrected. Another source has 4.59. In any case, he’s a QB, not a WR. Heck, Winston ran a 4.97 at the combine.
Any fair-minded observer who watches some video will say this guy’s worth a serious look.

Last night’s game stats for Rourke, 23/26, 386Yds, 5 TD’s. FIRST HALF!! Ended up 34/37, 477 Yds, 5TD’s passing and 1 rushing for good measure. Lions we’re up by 30 at the hall so they clearly put the brakes on him or it would not be a stretch to say he would have hit 600 YDs passing.

Yes, against a weaker team (Edmonton) but OMG. Hell yes, this Canadian kid is at least worth a peek. Would hate to see him head South but Seattle would work just fine if it had to be. His poise is off the charts.

You want stats? Let me introduce you to a gentleman named Al Bundy :)

He went to Ohio University. Here's his NFL.com draft prospects page - https://www.nfl.com/prospects/nathan-rourke/3200524f-5528-4703-b991-bdba9a2e9d48
Hey Al Bundy’s stats at Polk High School stand to this day. Huge fan.

All I’m saying is, Nathan Rourke is worth look in Seattle. Personally, I’m not seeing great QB options at the moment in Seattle.

Let’s see how Rourke does in the second half of the year. He is impressive, no question. Whether he is NFL caliber, even as a solid back-up, who knows. I would bet that the Hawks are keeping one eye open Northward though. MO.

I ran that too, but I am 6'7 330 lbs
I remember this baseball pitcher who had a 104 mph fastball with pinpoint accuracy coming out of college, but when he got to camp we found out he was the slowest guy on the team! Good thing we cut him. /sarcasm

I will take him, at least to try out.

Flutie was CFL. So was Browner.

We don't have a QB. (At least not starting caliber) We have to try everything.
