Dude wants to "come home" .. I can see him as a solid backup at this point and mentor and looks like he's already trying to mentor Cross as he's already spoken to Walter Jones and KJ Wright. It wouldn't hurt.. as long as he's not taking reps from guys who need it.

As soon as Russell leaves, coincidence!??

j/k. I wouldn't mind having KJ back for some depth, but at a vet minimum kind of deal. He's EXACTLY the kind of veteran you want on your team mentoring and learning up the new kids.

I remember him stating that he wouldn't mind taking a backup role and letting the young wolves feast. I wouldn't mind this at all.

it's got more ups than downs . He's got lots of war stories for the young guys to hear . Why not ?

And the last player from the only SB win still on the team . It can't hurt .

I'd be fine with him coming in to back up at ILB, but he brings no ST value at all and you kind of need those backups to be contributing there.

I kinda wish he'd just come back to coach rather than be on the roster.

I'm sure he'll be back at some point to raise the 12th Man flag. If he has interest in being a defensive assistant, that'd be cool too. I'm not really interested beyond that.

I’ve met both KJ Wright and Bobby Wagner. And I gotta say, KJ, was the better person.

I’d like to see KJ retire with the Seahawks. He’s done everything right with Seattle. The guy is a good guy and can mentor the young guys.

He doesn’t need to be paid a lot.

He just needs to come back.

He got paid far under what his cap hit was previously, and they didn't have to give up any capital for him. It's a bit different.
We are talking about the offseason of last year before the season started. He would have been a 1 year rental for most superbowl ready teams. He was still all pro and top LB despite losing a step. He was worth some decent draft capital. Von Miller got a 2nd & 3rd mid season last year from the Rams. Not sure how you can say he was untradeable.

Turned out i was right in this thread, sadly we ended up not getting anything. What's worse he went to the Rams.
