And to top it off there hasn’t been any indications whatsoever that teams have shown any interest in Stinky G. He had the 5th highest cap hit league wide in 21’. It moves to 11th in 22’. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to absorb that salary for a quarterback in his 30’s that can’t throw darts lol :!: :p :stirthepot: :stirthepot: :rumble:

The 49ers will be irrelevant again for the next five years. At least we get to use the rebuild excuse now

You're right Arlos, the 49ers would have much better off losing players like a future hall of fame quarterback, a perennial pro bowl leading tackler / fan favorite, and a really good cornerback. Instead they lost two lineman! I don't know how they will recover! And they already invested tonnes into these players as well like the 6th round draft pick for DJ jones and a bargain free agent contract for Tomlinson.

It speaks to the mediocrity of the 49ers scouting and the terrible defensive line coaching. Why just last year another defensive line bargain was scooped up by a competing team for a healthy free agent contract.

I can't remember what that team was?

Gee I wonder if he outproduced what he did when he was with the 49ers? Wonder why?

Bobby wasn't very good anymore. Losing Reed hurts, but at least Seattle got some good play out of him. You might remember that the 49ers were a bit too quick to cut the guy. Stupid move.

Have fun waiting until pick 61 during the draft. It's a feeling we know all too well. Many of the players I see your fan base hoping will be there (Cole Strange, Abraham Lucas, Boye Mafe), won't be.

But congrats on those compensatory picks. That is a haul. Good year to have those.

Last I checked the 49ers were in the NFC championship and did not lose their 2 best players. Bobby Wagner second team all pro. Terrible season

The 49ers are here to stay, the Seahawks are a laughing stock.

Know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em.

Fade this confirms your stupidity. The NFC IS WIDE OPEN TO DETHRONE THE RAMS. Again look to conference wide parity. Also look to what Seattle has added in players like Quinton Jefferson and Nwosu. My guess is they’ll snag Sauce Gardner at 9 and continue to add pieces with the windfall of draft capital and cap space. And you can still be damn competitive during a rebuild look at Cincy

Well there ain’t no joe burrow in this draft. And if there was, even burrow sucked his rookie year. Get minchew and make Eason the qb2.

And you can be down right terrible in a rebuild too, case example 49ers in 2017 and 2018. Seahawks fans have had it pretty good since RW was in the building.

Yeah....

Who knows what happens next and maybe Seattle beats the odds...

...but I honestly don't think a number of Seahawks fans understand the full scale of what happens now.

Haha John Lynch trying to tell the media that some phantom team offered 2 second round picks. What a joke. Jimmy Garbageolo has negative trade value

Careful , he might end up a seahawk ! I think his shoulder surgery screwed everything up. I could see them holding him in to early training camp or perhaps draft night. Imagine teams will want to see him throw before trading for him . 49ers could also keep him for the season now too, but his salary is not guaranteed until week one.

You’re delusional. Jimmy G is a good backup but at his age and limitations I can’t picture teams wanting to build around him especially with that crazy cap hit. You expect to see that kind of cap hit on upper echelon talent not a guy like Jimmy G

Say what you want about Jimmy but you can't hide the fact he lead the team to NFC title games 2 of the past 3 years. Yeah he makes the occasional bonehead play but deep down, you know he would be a decent QB to play here !

Yeah I think he had 8 passing attempts in one of those playoff games and just had to complete an easy pass to win the super bowl. I don’t even hate the guy I just think the 49ers overpriced him. Nobody wants Baker Mayfield for the same reason. Lock has a much better arm than Jimmy. I’m not saying Lock is a great long term solution but I think he deserves a fair shake.

If a less than 60 % completion percentage, .350 win percentage, and 1:1 TD to INT ratio is your thing go for it

Not trying to say Jimmy is great....

....but 27 mil isn't "upper echelon talent" for a QB.

It’s still steep. I actually wouldn’t mind him if the price was better for a backup. Right now we have Jacob Eason and Lock. Not sure about Geno Smith he had some good moments last year given he was kind of thrown into the fire. Lock on a cheap rookie contract for one year and then they can draft CJ Stroud next year in 23’ draft. They actually won the Wilson trade. I thought they’d get 2 firsts and nothing else which still would’ve been good. Good for Denver if they win a super bowl but a head scratcher if he fails to

At the end of the day Jimmy’s cap hit is too large and the 49ers might as well bring him back for his last year and let Lance learn from the bench. Lance is raw and not ready. Needs better throwing mechanics and pocket awareness but then again it depends on how Mike Shanahan wants to use him

Please explain to me how Jimmy would be the back up to Lock? Lock has done nothing in 3 years other the lose, throw ints and throw incompletions. Dude sucks.
