  • you shocked? At one time the Seahawk vs Rams was a good grudge match. Pretty sure more then just the Tards, Whiners and Lambs fan base dislike us.

Not particularly. From what I read on the internet, it's like every fanbase outside of Seattle hates the Seahawks.

  • I like it. We're in the news and the East coast media has taken notice and talks about us quite a bit. I love it. Ever since week 3 maybe even after week 2, after we smashed Dallas. The Hawks have been discussed and talked about by everyone and anyone who talks football.

“Trust gets you killed, love gets you hurt and being real gets you hated. This team is full of real good players who can really lay you out. So dear haters, since your talking behind our backs, feel free to kiss our ass.”

  • I'm glad that the types of bullshat homophobic slurs I've seen on 9ers forums and now Rams forums aren't tolerated by the admins here. Don't get that crap, it's 2012, but I guess they're still living deep in the past when their teams were relevant.

  • The Bandwagon doesn't bother me as who really knows who is here just for the good times and who will be here 20/30 years down the road. I won't judge as long as one is here for the right reasons.

As for the Rams, I could care less how they or any other club's fans view the Seahawks.

Rams have only had 9 blacked out games since the move to St. Louis in 1995, and none since 2009.

You mean you won a superbowl back in 2000 and were still getting games blacked out after that?

It's LA's team in the first place. And if I was a betting man, that's the team I would put money on to move there. The owner seems to be doing nothing to reassure anyone that he plans on staying.

  • Who cares? Stay home and watch your stupid 9ers and Rams I have been to many non Seahawks games just to watch some football and I see that happen with opposing teams constantly. Trash talk is trash talk. No one is getting hurt. When the punches start flying then it is ridiculous. But fans are gonna yell, scream, talk shit and on occasion get in your face. When I went to the Buffalo game ( years ago ) I wore my Seahawks gear. I knew what I would be in for and I got it! Now I have been to that stadium plenty of times without any gear and never had a problem. It is just the way it is.

We've already lost 1 football team with the Cardinals. Losing the Rams would mean no more NFL in St. Louis.

The big rivalry may be SF vs Sea but I remember the Stl vs Sea rivalry kicked off when Grant Wistrom jumped ship to the Hawks. Those were some angry games. Lastly, good luck today.

Not to cop out, but I do agree with you that franchise relocation is hard on fans that don't deserve it, and in general sucks. I have been through it ( and Im a diehard Hawks Fan, but not a Seattleite, so it wasn't the Sonics) and I an still bitter.

In this situation however, it's not a case of IF someone is moving to LA, it's WHEN someone is going to move to LA. And it's nothing personal against St. Louis. But at least the silver linings are there: Ram Fans in LA get their team back and a great regional rivalry with SF is restored. And from a purely selfish Seahawks POV (which I admit is how I think) we get some relief on the most brutal travel schedule in the League, a disadvantage which is real.

If that's the case, St. Louis should get the Cardinals back, and L.A. should get the Rams back. Those were the original cities. Would you feel comfortable saying the Thunder should not move, because fans shouldn't lose their team?

Dude. I am just saying that as a fan it sucks to lose your team. You may not care but I do. What should happen and what does happen are two different things.

I think that teams should belong to the communities and never leave. But that's not the way things work in sports. I realize that teams have moved all over the place. That fact does not minimize the emotional impact that the relocation had on that fan base.

  • I want the hate. That means the Hawks are slapping people around and frustrating the media, fans and other players.

This team was pretty successful between the 2002-2007 seasons and it got them nothing in the respect department. That was after owning teams for several straight seasons.

Now the Niners have a division title under their belt, on their way to their second and have won a single playoff game. They come around expecting attention and love for ZERO. Shit.. The Cards did better than that in 2007-2009 and no one gave two squirts about them. Respect isn't ever going to happen.

It is much better to be hated and see your team rise to the challenge, pissing off opposing fans in the process than it is to be "respected". ANYDAY.

  • There are immature emotional fans in every fan base. There are confrontations at every stadium that has an NFL game. Fans that experience these confrontations think that the world has gone awry. Some want to broadcast to the world how they were wronged. Often not using rational thought.

And of course some Ram fans, who's team has been trounced by the Seahawks for a very long time, are going to run with anything negative written about the Hawks or the fan base.

There are these same type of fans in our fan base as well.

I watched today's game with about 20 Seahawk fans. Because there are no other Rams fans in San Diego wherever I watch the game.

I have to say, they were not obnoxious at all. They were quite pouty. As soon as Hawks were not up by 20 in the second quarter, they were all, what is this? And very quiet.

I found myself pointing out good things that the Seahawks did. Was kinda weird.

They all cheered up at the end though.

Congrats on the win! Now, take your team through the playoffs to the SB.

  • On most all the Rams boards they have threads about how much they hate Pete Carroll.

    Why?

Why do other fans hate Pete so much? He isnt nasty like Harbaugh, or gruff like Bellicheat. Makes really no sense to me why.

From what I've gathered it's two things:

    1) A misconception of the infractions at USC

    and

    2) Pete not calling the TD call against GB, a call that went for his team and gave them a win, the worst call in history. That's apparently "classless", as if any other NFL head coach would attribute a victory to a 'bad call'.

  • When their team is getting beat by Carroll and he's celebrating and laughing, apparently this is classless too. Oh, and sends them into a rage!

Anytime I watch games now and see Carroll, well being Carroll, I now think, "Man I bet that is pissing of their fans!"

    Why?

Why do other fans hate Pete so much? He isnt nasty like Harbaugh, or gruff like Bellicheat. Makes really no sense to me why.

As I explained in an earlier post, I think the Seahawk hate is from the St. Louis fans.

I think Carroll is hilarious with his sideline antics. I don't follow college football, so no USC hate. He's a smart coach though. As is Fisher.

I do think Harbaugh is the new Cowher and I love watching his mad face when he's losing. I also truely think he is a douche based on his actions in the NFL games I've seen and his pressers after.

Well I hate the Rams. Hate with a passion. But i respect the hell out of the players and the coaching staff. Fisher is a classy dude. Was listening to his interviews this week and he was very respectful of the Seahawks. Very classy guy. This was in stark contrast to the week earlier when Harbaugh would hardly acknowledge that the Seahawks had any ability at all.

I just dont get the hate that the Rams have towards Carroll. It must really be the rah rah sideline crap he does. But that is just him. He is always respectful of the other team, players, and coaches in all the interviews i have ever heard.

It's good to hate your rivals, that makes it fun.

Don't lump all Rams fans into the Carroll hate though, I don't feel it and I'm as hard a Rams fan as there is.

Fisher is always classy. And always respectful not only about other teams, but if you listen to his pressers, he calls out specific players on the opposing teams by name and states what they are good at and how much he respects their play.

I've seen the same respect from Carroll. He is passionate.

I look forward to many years of you hating the Rams, as I expect there to be many close games over the years with wins and losses for both sides.

    Good teams.

  • This isn't any different than any other rival

Die hard fans are just that; Die Hard.

They live and die with their team and will put down anything that threatens it, no different than we are here

    Meh.
