I have to stick up the the Niners fan. I grew up in the shadow of Giants Stadium in NJ, yet I have been a diehard Chicago Bears fans since I was a kid. You don't need to pull for the local team to be a "true fan." You just need to stick by your team through thick and thin.

Born in 86, Ive Lived in the bay area my whole life, was born into being a hawks fan, AND PROUD OF IT!.... even through the painful 90s. Parents are from the Seattle area, and Mt vernon area....We drove up to watch the kingdome get demolished. Thats the same day I truly fell in love with this team, because I watched my dads eyes tear up watching it go down...right then I understood the love he had for that team....He passed away a right before Pete become head coach....Really wish he was here sharing this excitement with me....off topic...but guess im kinda the opposite of the OP
