“He was gassed from playing a lot on special teams.”

"fairly close", Carson got almost as many yards as Penny did on a little over half of his carries. On some of those plays there was immediate penetration and Carson was able to turn those into 3 yard gains. That is the difference between Penny and Carson. Carson can grind out the tough yards, and make the first guy miss. Haven't seen that from Penny yet.toffee":r5nqn2ci said:On the other hand, Penny did do sort OK in the second half. Penny and Carson's stats were fairly close.
You don't take running backs who need to "develop" in the first round.hawknation2018":3706ibi4 said:Penny runs awkwardly. Like a rookie who still needs time to develop.
So many 3rd and outs tonight that went pass, pass, pass.
Not a single carry for Carson in the 2nd half is disgraceful play calling.

“Carson had to play a lot on special teams because of injuries.”
You can’t make this stuff up.
The official NFL statistics from the game released Tuesday morning show Carson played two snaps on special teams at Chicago.
Two.
He played 19 snaps, of the offense’s 66. That’s a load he, heck, any NFL back, should be able to carry.
