disagree with Kasen Williams over Ricardo. Ricardo's got experience, hx of production, team chemistry, and most importantly, is a special teams standout!

I'm not sure who goes, but I think Seisay stays, but of course all of this can change as we haven't even played one pre season down yet.

It's still very early in this process. However, I would say there is a less than 50% chance that Kasen Williams, Thomas Rawls, Rashaun Allen, Kristjan Sokoli, Tye Smith, etc. make the roster. They are all strong candidates for the practice squad.

Cottom caught my eye in blocking drills while in pads. Don't be surprised if he makes it over both if he makes a big play. I've seen some really good blocking from him.

I disagree on quite a few points. I don't think we'll keep 5 RBs. It's Marshawn first, with Turbin backing him up, a fullback (I'll come back to this later) and one future star who is slowly being developed. Rawls and Michael can't both be kept in my opinion. As Fullback I still have Coleman as the clear favorite.

At WR I view Lockette as the fifth lock. He is remembered by the last play of SB49 but he performed decently in the 2014 season and he looks pumped so far. It would be a shocker for me if he doesn't make it. I see him making the roster instead of either Williams or Norwood.

For TE I see no way of Allen making it. McCoy and Helfet are in a competition for the third TE spot, not Allen. Personally I'm expecting McCoy to make it, he seems to be more useful.

I'd add an extra Offensive Lineman. I agree on the nine picks but I expect either Poole, Pericak or Lewis to also make the roster.

On defense I agree with the number of players per position but I think there will be a few changes from your list. I'd say they take Dobbs over Smith, since both Clark and Bennett are able to play inside.

I think Adams makes it over Morgan at LB and I see Seisay and McNeil making the roster over Tye Smith and Terrell.

I agree almost 100% with your replacements. The only one I don't see is McNeil as a WR converting to a CB over Tye Smith. I think the practice squad is the best place for a project like that.

Other than that we are in 100% agreement. I see guys like Williams, Cottom, and Allen as guys that could pretty easily be stashed on the PS unless they blow up the preseason so not a big need to have them take up a roster spot yet. That is of course assuming they are not clearly better than the players they're competing with. If there's any doubt why not hang onto the veteran and the young guy by stashing the lesser known on the PS? Keep Lockette, stash Williams. Keep Coleman, Stash Cottom. etc.

Seattle Times has their own 53-man roster prediction:
http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seah ... e-edition/

Some obvious differences . . .

*Derrick Coleman instead of Thomas Rawls

*Ricardo Lockette instead of Kasen Williams

*Cooper Helfet instead of RaShaun Allen

*David King (surprise!) and Demarcus Dobbs in (10 total defensive linemen vs. 8 for fieldgulls.com)

*Tharold Simon is listed, as Carroll said he would be returning soon, but no Eric Pinkins, Dion Bailey, or Tye Smith

Overall, I think the Seattle Times' version is more on the mark, although keeping David King surprised me somewhat. Also a little surprising that they both kept Kristjan Sokoli, despite his reported struggles, and have Terry Poole on their cut lists. I would have went with the opposite, sent Sokoli to the practice squad to develop more and kept Poole, because he gives you more versatility by playing offensive tackle. Instead of King, I would have kept Dion Bailey, Tyrell Adams, or Eric Pinkins for depth and special teams.

I think Tukuafu will make the team, his versatility is going to be valuable being able to play FB, TE (blocking), DT, and ST.

He has an advantage having the most recent chemistry with Lynch, being active right now (I think Coleman is hurt, and just more experience at the position than Coleman and Cottom combined.

I also think the Seahawks could carry just 5 WRs to be able carry 10 DBs especially if those guys show they can be solid special teamers.

Thats Baldwin, Kearse, Lockett, Matthews, plus one other, and then hopefully Richardson in the 2nd half to make 6. And by then injuries and competion will weed out a player that can be cut to add Richardson.

Here's the new prediction:
http://www.fieldgulls.com/2015/8/17/916 ... -schneider

Terry Poole, instead of Kristjan Sokoli, is a no brainer. I bet Sokoli clears waivers and makes it to the practice squad. He just looks way too raw at this point.

He has Thomas Rawls, Rashaun Allen, Eric Pinkins, and Steven Terrell making the team, which is a little strange to me. None of those four played well last week. Terrell, in particular, appears to have lost his job to Ronald Martin.

He also has them releasing Will Blackmon, which would be kind of a surprise, unless his injury is more serious than is being reported. Then again, there are too many corners, especially after the way Tye Smith played last week.

I liked the way Keavon Milton played, but with Britt at left guard, he is going to have to battle to make this roster.

Coleman does stay. Lockette? Hope not if we're serious about upgrading the WR group. And Michael better step it up big time because time is very short for him.

With Daniels, Smith, and Matthews all excelling on special teams, perhaps Lockette will become expendable. Personally, I think they keep him until Richardson returns.

Some good roster speculation here. I would like to hear who among the cuts
will make the 10 man practice squad. I'm not sure who all is eligible.

What are your thoughts ?

The good news is most of those guys still have practice squad eligibility. Pinkins definitely does. Rawls, Rod Smith, and Cottom definitely do. Both Kevin Smith and Kasen Williams have it I believe. Douglas McNeil should have eligibility as well. Sokoli, Davis, and Poole all have it. It's just a question of who makes it through the waiver process. When you release someone, you can never be too confident that they will remain available.
