He tore his plantar fascia at the beginning of the Atlanta game but took some pain pills and miraculously played through it.

Has it been announced that he won't be with the team next season?

No, I think he was just saying that he most likely wouldn't have been available for the NFC Championship or Super Bowl.

I thought I read it was a numbing shot, but yeah, he got it fixed and came back out and played the game of his career...
