I don't know why I'm so excited about the WR corps. I've already made too many threads about it, BUT I DON'T CARE.

Assuming we go with a 5 WRs (to leave room for Harvin when he's back), which two WRs do you want to see stick through the whole season?

Mine: Williams and Kearse. I love Williams' frame and it seems like he's a real go-getter in the air. Kearse... he's been the talk of the camp so far, so why not?

My guess is we keep 6. And they're Harper, Williams, and Chop Chop in addition to the obvious 3

I think this as well. With Rice and Harvin suspect due to injury (I know Rice isn't hurt but the knee treatment isn't good news) keeping 3 extra WR's would be smart. Even if it's only 5 total though I think Harper and Kearse would make it.

6 is going to be tough to swing this season. I posted a thread earlier about how tough it is going to be to fill the 53.

With Harvin likely on PUP to start, I think we go Rice-Tate-Baldwin-Kearse-Harper. I know Williams has had a nice camp, but he's done that before in Cards camp and I'm not sure he is ready to take it to the field on game day.

Tough choice, just like it will be at RB, OL, DL, LB and S.

Right, but if/when Harvin comes back you can't keep all 7.

Then you cut either Harper or Williams.

Kearse may very well be a starting WR by the end of the season.

Just realized I totally blanked on Baldwin for some reason. Like someone below me said, once Harvin comes back you cut the guy (or send him to practice squad) who is performing the worst.

I can't even remember the last time Seattle didn't keep 6 WRs. We've usually kept 6 CBs too, since that was brought up earlier. Last year they picked up the roster slack by keeping just 3 TEs and going a bit light on OL. I expect that to continue with the versatility we have on OL and a TE group that probably has only 3 viable roster candidates.

Barring an upset, I'm pretty sure we'll start the year with Rice/Tate/Baldwin/Kearse/Williams/Harper and Harvin on the PUP or possibly the IR (teams can reclaim 1 player off IR this year).

We are not nearly as jammed with developmental WRs with plausible hopes of making the 53 man this year. Last year we had like 6 players shoulder to shoulder fighting for 2 spots on the final roster. This year it's basically just 3 for 2, those three being Williams, Harper and Bates, and Bates is a long shot. There are a couple other camp body guys like Arceto, Perez, Swain, Walters, and (not listed) Herd. That group is barely even mentioned in practice reports and is probably just hoping for a PS spot.

Kearse is a lock for the roster IMO. PC/JS are treating him like a known commodity, and that's huge right now with Harvin out and Rice/Baldwin both being above average injury risks.

Looks like you forgot Red Bryant Wenhawk. Probably take Bradford or Guy off for him. Also, I think Spencer Ware makes the squad

Harper, Williams and Bates are all guys I don't expect to hear much about from Pete. They will have to be creative to hold onto them, I don't think any of them can sneak through waivers to the practice squad.

I do think we will only carry 4 backs to begin with.

Not sold on McDaniel, and Bryant will definitely make the squad. Don't know much about Schofield either, Byron Maxwell?

By the sounds of it, Kearse will probably beat him out, but I gotta go with Greg Herd. #EWU

I don't see them putting Simon on the PS, I think he's headed to IR personally. I don't think they'll risk losing him to another team with the bright idea to copy us, namely that team in Jacksonville.
