Dam, guess I'm gonna have to hold off on buying that John Deere combine, and the tune up on the Merc 502 MAG EFI is on hold until Monday.

Wisconsin radio station bans Seattle music before Seahawks game

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - A Wisconsin radio station has slapped a ban on all music and bands from the Seattle area in the run-up to Sunday's NFC championship game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

"Beginning Wednesday morning at 12 a.m. CT, the station's listeners will hear no Heart, no Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no songs from any band that calls Seattle home," radio station 94.5 "The Lake" says in a posting on its website. The station's ban on Seattle music will continue until after the game.

According to the The Lake's website, the ban is needed to change the bad karma that has dogged the Packers in their previous games with the Seahawks in Seattle.

I grew up 3 hrs north in Marquette, MI - they think this kind of stuff is normal, when, in fact, it is borderline prejudice. Glad to be from da Yoop and now a Pac NW. Less bigotry out here and more intelligence. No offense, just reality.

They are very, very isolated culturally - it is truly ignorance in the honest sense of the word. Not on purpose, just never had the chance to be exposed to anything other than Fleet Farm.

Now you, I can tell, actually spent serious time in that part of the world! Bravo.

So, Seattle radio stations should fire back by not playing any Green Bay bands.

Uh, there are Green Bay bands, right?
