Another Cable conversion project perhaps? Hmmm ...

Perfect!

"Former high school basketball player with exciting athletic traits."

LOL. You know, personally, I know this guy is available. I think that the Hawks should honestly give him a call ...
1024x1024

He's been unavailable for about 7 years.

Bol was a dude who did some truly special things off the court. I think he spent most of his NBA earnings trying to help people in Sudan. He jumped from college early just to get an NBA salary so he could help his sister out.

6'-6" and 315 lbs with 35 1/2 inch arms and 10 1/2 inch hands.

Looks like a tackle project with arm length in excess of 34". To my knowledge, only Ifedi has longer arms.

He died seven years ago. And he didn't have exciting athletic traits; he wasn't a very good athlete. He was a really tall dude with long arms with really good footwork.

Details. Details. Pfft. LOL. :D

In all seriousness, really cool to hear about Bol's work there in Sudan prior to his death. Thanks for sharing.

Boykin!

Quarterback Trevone Boykin, running back Mike Davis, receiver Cyril Grayson, center Joey Hunt, receiver David Moore, defensive tackle Garrison Smith, tight end Tyrone Swoopes and cornerback Mike Tyson were all added to the practice squad after being waived as part of Saturday’s roster cuts.

Woops ...... my mistake .... a correction is in order. I forgot Matt Tobin with his 34 1/4 inch arms. So they have currently have three healthy offensive tackles that satisfy preferred length.

Well Lookie there!!! Our ol' buddy Boykin is back!

The fact that he signed back here (to me) is very telling indeed. To me, it says that the market for his services ... wasn't all that great. People weren't exactly beating down his door. That's got to be a bitter slice of humble pie to choke down -- being the back-up ... and then NOT being the back-up now.

I'm happy for us, but in all honesty for Boykin's sake and the sake of his career, think he should go somewhere else. Boykin's badly in need of experience. You know, they say that for young QB's the NFL game is just FAST for them -- light years faster than it is college. And they say that when QB's really start to get it that the game SLOWS down. Well for Boykin, the NFL game is still pretty FAST for him. The dude just needs to play and to play on an everyday basis CONSISTENTLY -- somewhere. Honestly, I believe the CFL would have been better for him. But again, I'm happy for us. Hopefully he can keep learning on the Practice Squad from Russell Wilson and the LOB ... and the game will eventually start to SLOW DOWN for him.

You could argue that about any of them, the impressive Mike D included.

Am pleased we have (for now) Boykin waiting in the wings for his further development and for just in case.

Did we ever try Grayson out as a punt or kick returner this preseason? Just wondering as I didn't see all the games.
