Pete and john met with Burks the other day at the combine, after watch his 17 minute highlight reel I can understand what drew their interest to Burks. He's a very polished WR

He has my vote for our first overall selection in this years draft.

Overall pick #9 has to yield a player from one of the premium positions of either QB, Edge, LT or CB, all of which the Hawks need.

WR would be a luxury pick if we already had our Edge, LT and CB in the fold.

It would be a luxury selection, but just think about it, DK, Burks and Lockett lined up together. So much for Petes three yards and a cloud of dust. This is a Pete and John jedi mind trick. The league won't see this one comming.

I'd rather the Hawks go interior Oline (Linderbaum and/or Zion Johnson) and Edge.

Imagine if we had Zion Johnson at LG, Linderbaum at C and Damien Lewis back at RG. The run game would/should flourish.
