The first couple of years Carroll was here he was "forced" to play the young guys because he had no choice.
The roster turnover was extensive. Cutting and releasing aging veterans was absolutely necessary.
Carroll needs to think that same way with this upcoming season.
Earl is holding out, that's good, the guys get all the reps and can develop. You can't develop by not playing and sitting the bench. Coaches need to see what have in these young guys, the more reps these guys get the more comfortable they'll be and may be future stars.
You can't keep playing aging vets just cause it's "safe" you need to develop young talent to "takever" and become the future!
It should start with giving Frank Clark is second contract!
