I'm not sure if this has been brought up, forgive me if it has. The more I thought about the final cuts to 53, and how a lot of people felt Kasen Williams or Kevin Smith should have been on the final 53, and not Lockette.
I feel that Jimmy had a factor in this. There is only one ball out there to be caught. Jimmy will be the #1 target, then you have Baldwin, Kearse, Lockett and Mathews. Really, where would Williams and Smith come into play? If they keep one of them on one the roster, they would be relegated to the sidelines and you take one of the top gunners in Lockette off your roster. Or you take a chance like the Hawks did and get the others on the PS to groom for later. In the end, I believe this could be best case scenario for how it worked out.
