Greeting from the UK :D

I think we had a really good draft this year; one player I'm really going to root for is Ty Powell as he is from a college I have never heard of! That set me thinking as to which other Seahawks drafted from small colleges have made it - guess the obvious one is Dave Krieg but Pete Metzelaars came from Wabash and had a 16 year career in the NFL (although only for a couple of years with the 'Hawks); who is your favourite?

Not a couple of years. Dave was with the Seahawks from 1980 to 1991.

you can't argue against Dave Krieg being our best small college acquisition,...heck, Milton college is not even in existence anymore,...

My bad - meant Metzelaars was with the Hawks for just a couple of years!

Chris Warren played at Ferrum college, a division 3 school , and went on to have 4 1,000 yard rushing seasons and made 3 Pro Bowls, must be up there with Krieg?

See Fred Thomas came from Tennessee Martin, Terrence Warren was at Hampton and Antonio Edwards from Valdosta State; none of them were around for long.

What about Derrick Fenner from Ferrum (?). I need to go look up the spelling.

EDIT: Just noticed Kev007 stole my thunder.

Jerry Rice was out of Mississippi Valley State. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Some other small-school draft picks that had solid careers with Seattle.

Michael Sinclair, Eastern New Mexico
Ron Essink, Grand Valley State
Terry Taylor, Southern Illinois

Zorn was arguably THE best QB this team has ever had. Russell Wilson with a leftie cannon Wilson could only dream about having. Playing behind an expansion team oline back in the days when expansion teams sucked.
