This wasn't terribly unexpected to me. He's battled some injuries, and would have struggled to make many an NFL roster because of them. He was certainly no lock to make the Seahawks roster, and if I'd have bet on it, I'd have said before (and I probably did somewhere) he would be the odd man out of our receiving corps.
Enjoyed having him on the team, and wish him the best of luck from here on out. Glad he was able to get a ring before he retired. Kind of makes the decision all the easier, I'd guess. And, if at some point, if he's healthy again and decides to unretire again, well, that's not off the table either, I suppose. He could be a late-season bolster to a team that's down a few receivers and looking to make a push. Hope for the situation that it isn't us, but I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat.
