Jamar Taylor is wearing number 24. That is disrespectful.

No one should wear 24 for the Seahawks but Lynch.

Marshawn Lynch was the heart and soul of the greatest Hawks team ever to take the field.

You retire numbers like 10-20 years after the player retires, not one year.

I also don't think Lynch is retire number worthy.

Lynch? Eh, not there for me. Wilson for sure, probably Wagner by the time he's done, but not Lynch for me. Love me some Beastmode, but only five full years here isn't number retire worthy. If that's the case, we'd also have to retire Kam, Sherm, Cliff, Mikey B and Earl. Too many other in that SB era worthy list to just retire Lynch.

Agreed. Would have to retire 89 too.

And disrespectful? Nah. The league has quite a few players who are wearing numbers of former greats. And you don't retire a number right away imo. Lynch played last season.
And often, a guy wears a number out of respect. Just sayin

Not officially, but usually those numbers that are intending on being retired are just not used until it's official.

I guess I just don't see it as disrespectful. It's just a number and the guy played in the league last year.

If 37 isn't retired, 24 sure shouldn't be.

Thanks, needed a good laugh today.

+1, though I don't think Wilson is a for sure yet.

The only number that should be retired is #23 and that's for basketball.

Really, no Russell yet?

Dude's already on his way to the HOF, IMO he's already there........and certainly will be by the end of this contract.

Retire #37?

Was there a great seahawk that wore #37?

You are not talking about the RB that was afraid of contact right?

The one that got a bunch of yards because he had 2 of the best OL in the league and one of the best EVER blocking for him?

Please tell me you are not trying to compare him to Marshawn?

Yup, the best long snapper of all time, Kelly Jennings (holy crap he sucked).
And no mention of Matt Flynn's #15? ouch

Borderline right now for me. Wouldn't think they were making a mistake if they did based on what has happened so far though.

Did somebody really just "laugh" at me for saying that our only league MVP, who happened to rush for 100 TDs in his career, should have his number retired, and then say that Russ isn't a given?

I'm not comparing them; I'm saying he was better.

Or as I like to call him, slightly more talented Chris Warren. Though at least Chris would try to find the sideline instead of going down like an addict in desperate need of a fix.
