Finally took the time to look at the current numbers:

https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/seattle-seahawks/

We still have $13,000,000 available this year. That's more than the Rams ($6,000,000) or the Bills ($7,000,000), Kansas City ($8,000,000), and Tampa Bay ($350,000). Green Bay is about the same this year.

But our space for 2022 is looking even better at $37,000,000 which is much better than the Rams ($4,000,000), the Bills ($7,500,000), Kansas City ($21,000,000), and Tampa Bay ($20,000,000). Green Bay has way more though ($45,500,000).

I admit I thought we were struggling way more for cap space than we really are currently compared to these other teams I checked.

All this could change though depending on these holdouts or future signings.

Jamal Adams is actually only making $5,000,000 this year so we are still doing way better than I thought THIS year... the problem is he has $33,000,000 of Dead Money so we should all be praying he doesn't get injured like I expect he will.

I think it's very important we make the most of this last $13,000,000 we have this year and still leave some space open for 2022. I vote get KJ Wright + some stud offensive lineman (or two) if any trade is possible.

What do you guys think we should do?

I have to admit I don’t really understand why it’s OK to let KJ go?

I generally thought they should re-up him -

Other than that - O LINE as far as,I can tell -

I would hope that they have a standing offer for him that is below what he wants (and in my opinion deserves). But everyone knows it's a business so if he doesn't get the number he wants somewhere, he'll be in Seattle again.

I know some think athletes are greedy and that quibbling over a few million is absurd, but this is one of the ultimate supply and demand situations. Not that there aren't delusional greedy turds, but most players staring at their last decent contract should try to get as much as they want/can. I'm really hoping that amount for KJ ends up being from us.

Just wait until you see how much cap space the 2025 Seahawks have.
