Can someone tell me why almost NEVER run screens? Not WR screens, but real screens to the HB. On plays where it's obvious they're sending 7 or 8, to not have that in the audibles seems irresponsible. Is it a product of not trusting our inexperienced line to get out there? I don't get it. My #1 complaint about the playcalling.

If we didn't have a more mobile QB, we'd use the screen more, but the same thing the screen prevents is prevented by having a QB who can run away from the blitz and likely have the similar success - while at the same time giving yourself more options to get the ball down the field. If a screen breaks down your'e kinda hosed.

I used to question our lack of a screen game back in the Hasselbeck/holmgren/alexander days but not so much anymore. there are better options to call when you have a QB who can improvise.
